That's why I said "if". Yes, he's the greatest coach ever, but UT is different from those schools he did coach at. He was pretty mediocre when LSU hired him away from Michigan State. You are speaking of what actually transpired. I'm talking about our attitude regarding the situation this year. It was an all SEC schedule, we don't have much depth, we have serious QB issues that if fixed will change everything. The defense can't play the whole game and be perform well. Do I think Priutt is the answer? I don't know...It seems to me that Covid did effect us more than other schools. Remember there was little to no Spring practice, and little to no camp for many players. The teams that we should have beaten had more experienced players because they don't get to leave early for the NFL, etc. and beating us is still a big deal to them. We didn't get blown out by UK, we beat ourselves. Every time I hear we got blown out by Kentucky, I laugh as we had 2 pick 6's and they did have a good defense with more experience. I'm as disappointed as anybody, and I'm in my 50's, so grew up while UT was a joke. It took Majors 9 seasons to win the SEC and had we fired him before then, or in the middle of 1988, then we wouldn't even be complaining about how we used to be good and we've sucked for so long. We are going to have to stick with somebody eventually for more than 3 to 5 years. I betcha UGA will be firing Kirby within 2 years if he doesn't win a natty. That will be good for us. Mullen may leave UF for the NFL. We're in a tough spot as everybody is better than they were back in the 90's. We barely beat most teams back then, we just managed to win and that's why we are so spoiled.
