2020 Presidential Race

That one is an auto. I just checked. I didn't think they went all auto until the V8 model. That one has the Yamaha V6.
I thought that one was a manual from the year and yeah with the V6 manual was more common. I don’t even remember a manual option on the 302HO SHO

When will the 230(c) protection be rolled back.

“The lack of lawsuits today under the current conditions means I’m right and they will always be that way.”

Absolutely stupid. Good night!
Lol. You’re the one who insisted on having a conversation about the existing 230 framework.

The one I linked to is an automatic 1995 model. I just looked it up, and Ford added the auto option (manual still std) in 1993. The Yamaha V6 engine increased from 3.0 liters to 3.2 that same year. Same horsepower, but 15 more ft./lbs. torque.

The V8 in the 1996-99 SHO was a small 3.4 liter V8 ( about 204 cubic inches) that was auto only, and broke camshafts right and left.

Oh I didn’t know the auto came so much later. I always liked the Yamaha engine and actually test drove one back in the day. But I held out for my 96 rag top 4V Cobra. I’ve still got it.

Speaking of hot foxes, would that SHO fill the bill for you. Are you bidding?

Yes, it's an automatic. The thing that always got me about the SHO was the engine. It looked so different at the time - the way they did the runners from the intake header. There was actually a short and a long runner to each cylinder; they crossed over at a certain RPM, and you could definitely feel it. This guy has kept it pristine.

I test drove an SHO when they first came out, maybe 1989, and came close to buying one. I think it was around $18-19,000. It was a non-metallic burgundy or maroon color.

Are you sure? (Of course you are...) I always thought it was the 302HO. But again I was more of a fan of the V6 engine.
Yep. I have read a lot about people having to weld camshafts for those little V8's. I would prefer an early manual 6 cylinder myself. One of the sweetest engines ever. I have driven front wheel drive cars that had better shifters and clutch takeup though.

It was a fairly sweet driving car I thought and the torque steer wasn’t that bad. Remember the old Chrysler Turbos? Torque steer from hell. You pointed the damn thing, romped it, then did pointing corrections at each shift 😂

Through the groin?? Good Lord .... the things we humans have to go through just to live life.

Yep, they use a sandbag to hold pressure after the procedure - of course you get shaved first. With the wrist there's a pressurized clamp and every 15 minutes or so they bleed some air off - and after they fill you up with fluids from an IV, you can get up and empty some of it from time to time. With it in the groin, they smack you down for raising your head, and I was in agony - just couldn't go in the bedpan.

I bought a new Dodge Daytona Turbo in 84 or 85, and a new Shelby GLH-S in 86, I think. The Shelby was a Dodge Omni, titled as a Shelby (no mention of Dodge on the car or title. It was a 2.2 liter turbo with an intercooler, Koni shocks, special suspension, and was limited to 500 cars, and all had sequential dash numbers. The torque steer was brutal in a 2300 pound car. Luckily, it dove toward the sidewalk , off to your left, instead of into coming traffic.

Yep that was the engine! Amazing power for that era but the torque steer was a complete turnoff. I remember that little Omni body Shelby. Fierce compact for the era for sure. I was looking at the Daytona. The ex’s dad had a ragtop K car that had the same engine package... and same torque steer from hell.
