The Christians at Liberty gave him a second chance, why wouldnt the Christians in Knoxville? While I voted yes because I think he is an offensive genius and he could immediately come in here and have some of his puzzle pieces he needs. It will be the bible thumpers in knoxville and surrounding area that are the main reason this will not happen. Before I catch any flack, I am very much a bible thumper who realizes that I am only saved by Jesus Christ and God's grace, however I know the fleshly man that I was and still struggle with. But that doesnt mean that I should be shuned forever for the things I did in my youth/20's. From what I understand, Freeze came clean to his wife, re-dedicated his faith, and was put on a strict "probation" by his family. Additionally, if I remember correctly, he turned down other offers when he came off probation to be a Liberty which is a Christian school. If he is willing to come here and be on a strict watch to include the school having open access to his phones and computers, and heck probably a chaperone when he goes on recruiting trips, then I'm good with it.......but like I said, it'll be the "Christians" who lead perfect lives (on the outside) and have no problems casting stones as they are without sin that will keep this from happening.

I think right now that Vol fans would take a Coach who is a Hare Krishna (they wear Orange) if he could recruit and develop enuf talent to make us competitive in the SEC.
Amen.LOL Hugh Freeze cheated like hell with recruits. That's the only way he got Ole Piss to be good. I dont want his stink on our program.
Amen.
Ole Miss football forced to vacate 33 wins after investigation
Know what Ole Miss' official record is during the 5 years Freeze was head coach?
0-6
1-5
1-4
10-3
0-7
Even worse than losing is winning and then having it all taken away because you cheated to get there.
No thanks.
If it happened on the field, changing the record books does not change that fact. They may change the record books, but if I watched it happen, and even better, if I recorded it, not only did I get to enjoy it while it happened, but I can go back and watch it again and again, and relive what actually happened, and continue to enjoy it.
That's a lot better than what we have right now.
Maybe because the ones at Liberty aren’t fake? This idea that if you aren’t truly a Christian if you dumb mistakes like the one Freeze. That Freeze’s mistake proves that he’s fake... that idea is backwards. True Christians realize they are jacked up. They trust that Jesus paid the price. They try to live lives that honor him by avoiding sin and making disciples, but guess what? They still make mistakes! I question the people who act like they don’t make mistakes. Not the ones who do and own up to it like Hugh has.
As opposed to the stink that's on the program now....LOL Hugh Freeze cheated like hell with recruits. That's the only way he got Ole Piss to be good. I dont want his stink on our program.
You can say what you want, the man can coach. I don't think Pruitt is in the same zip code as far as ability. There is no doubt in my mind we would be winning right now instead of stumbling around trying to figure it out as we go...I voted no. Hugh Freeze can go to hell. He's no better than Pruitt if you take away his ability to cheat.
Who are the 176 people that voted no?
They must be absolutely blind sided by Pruitt.

You mean the ones that let Falwell Jr run amok for several years. Two things: 1) the University of Tennessee is not a Christian organization, (and I'm a Christian who, when I'm pulling for their football team, wishes that it was); and 2) if by "mistakes", you mean "sins", then yes, all sins are forgivable, but most sins still have consequences not related to God's forgiveness. If your "mistake" is that you chop a guys arm off, you may be forgiven, but the guy's arm is still gone; if your "mistake" is child molestation, you can certainly be forgiven, but you've given up the chance to work closely with children. Freeze didn't have to vacate all those wins because of a slip-up in his private life; it was because he cheated and apparently sold recruits with the convincing argument of arranged sexual favors. That doesn't mean he can't be forgiven; but it does mean that he gave up the chance to coach at any University that believes it has a duty to present a higher standard to the society at large. Which, until recent years, would have included UT.
I'm convinced Butch paid JG and he's blackmailing Tennessee for his starting jobIf you don’t think we and many others are cheating as well, I think you may be kidding yourself. I know we paid Brian Darden, for example. Yes that’s an old example but it’s the only one I’m sure of. Suspect many many others.
