Come and listen to my story about a man named Jeremy
A Defensive Coordinator, Bammer born Bammer bred,
And then one day he was head coaching in the SEC,
And inside Neyland the truth come shining thru.

Oil that is, black gold, Snake oil.

Well the first thing you know ol Jeremy is a millionaire,
The kinfolk said "Jeremy move away from there"
Said "Alabamie is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Tuscaloosy

Bammer nation, that is. cash machines, shoe polish haired boosters

Dear To Whoever is in Control of UT Football,
This is your conscience speaking.
I know you want to keep JP and all your instincts tell you to. However, don’t trust your instincts, they suck. Instead, go against everything your mind, body and soul is telling you and hire good ole reformed Rev Freeze. Don’t think, just do it, you’ll be happy when the Vols start to kick some Tide, Gator and Bulldog butt.

Yall know Liberty just gave him an extension with a raise making about what we are paying CJP, right?

Also...I have heard the SEC is in no hurry to approve him coming back?

Anybody know more about that?

Yep....from reliable sources on talk radio...,the Liberty extension is no big deal and nothing is preventing him being hired by an SEC team.

Okay, hate to burst your bubble, but: Hugh Freeze is 3-5 all time against the Tide, Gators, and Bulldogs. About the same as Butch did in 2015 and 2016.

And that's if you don't take away wins for cheating. If you do (and you should), Freeze is 2-5 against those three schools.

Sankey stopped it two years ago because he didn't want him in the league as long as Ole Miss was still on probation (due to Freeze). Ole Miss comes off probation this year.

I have to say Hugh Freeze is the obvious answer to getting this program back to where it needs to be. The problem is the people in charge of making the decisions have a very poor track record of doing the right thing. I am hoping for the best but keeping my expectations very low.

Don't give a damn what the SEC thinks or says. Hire him and take them to court if necessary. They want to protect their favored programs and won't want to see is as a threat to the SEC royalty. Prime example is the schedule they saddled us with vs Bama and UGA. They have no legal basis to deny Freeze an opportunity at UT. Screw the SEC.

Don't kid yourself. Vanderbilt is too PC to hire a coach who f'ed prostitutes. Every woman on campus would protest. They also wouldn't want a coach who got caught cheating.

Most of the VU fans I know want Franklin to get fired at PSU so he could be their football coach again.
If James Franklin were to be fired by PSU he would then have to fail miserably at his next stop to fall back into a low enough tier of coaching candidates to reach the point where he might consider returning to Vanderbilt. I am fairly confident that he would remember that in his final home game @VU approximately 25,000 of those same “fans” clamoring for his return turned out for senior day to conclude Vanderbilts second consecutive 8 win regular season which was a feat that had not been accomplished there in almost 90 years. That season saw Vanderbilt beat UGA, demolish UF @ the swamp , and beat UT in back to back seasons for the first time since 1925&1926 which was another once in a nearly 100 year accomplishment.

I also cannot help but wonder if VU would be as you said “too PC “to hire Franklin and if “Every woman on campus would protest” the hiring of a coach who was reprimanded for saying that you could tell that he and his staff knew how close out a recruiting deal evidenced by the fact that they all had hot wives. Oh yeah, there was also this tricky situation that might make the powers that be at a bastion of political correctness such as Vanderbilt a bit hesitant during the vetting of James Franklin as a potential coaching candidate ...

James Franklin managed to leave Vanderbilt, but the sexual assault scandal that dogged much of his final season in Nashville isn't over, and neither apparently is Franklin's involvement. ESPN.com's Brian Bennett broke news yesterday afternoon of a court filing in the sexual assault case against four former Vanderbilt football players which alleges that not only did Franklin know about the incident before news of it broke, but in fact spoke to the victim days after the assault, during a medical exam.

What's more, the filing also contends that Franklin told the victim that he cared about her because she assisted the program with recruiting. How? Well, for purposes beyond the pending criminal case, that's the big news. The ESPN story quotes the Defendant's filing, saying that:

"Coach Franklin called her in for a private meeting and told her he wanted her to get 15 pretty girls together and form a team to assist with the recruiting even though he knew it was against the rules. He added that all the other colleges did it."

Don't want Franklin.

I want Hugh Freeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would prefer Freeze over Franklin as well although aside from being a douche canoe CJF would be a huge upgrade over Skoal can McCornbread.

“apparently sold recruits with the convincing argument of arranged sexual favors.”

This claim is disputed. Widely disputed. Not even sure where it came from. Probably just a lie to smear a guy some people don’t like.
Probably started somewhere around Tuscaloosa, if I had to guess.
GBO!!

So, if I can read thru the Shakespearean monologue, and put it in layman's terms, you're saying that Fulmer should fire Pruitt and hire himself as HC? I mean, that's what it sounds like you're saying.

Your logic here, if I understand, is that Fulmer wasn't given ample opportunity to right the ship, thus should've never been fired in the first place. There are two problems with this line of thinking:
1) He had his 1st losing season in '05. Rather than being fired, he was given opportunity to get it fixed. '06 and '07 were better seasons, but then '08 hit, and it was painfully obvious to many, that without Cutcliffe, it was over. So (as you say) "I, and many others I imagine, daresay that it does" mean that Fulmer was given the opportunity to right the ship.
2) By your logic, we shouldn't fire Pruitt, because he hasn't had time to right the ship that "I, and many others I imagine, daresay" feel that he is sinking.

How am I doing?

I guess my only other question is ... do you talk like this in real life, when you are having conversation with actual people, or is this your @Witch_Doctor "bones never lie" internet persona? I don't have a problem with it ... it's cool ... I'm just curious.

Not being ugly, just asking.

Witch Doctor say sure whatever(?), Witch Doctor cant answer how you are doing? Thats up to you. youve been here since 2010 and you just now ask? its cool, Witch Doctor not being ugly, just asking......(?) lol

Bones Never Lie.

Name the head coaches in the SEC that have beaten Saban multiple times.

He only faced UGA twice and was 1-1. Besides beating Bama twice he also almost got them in his final year losing 48-43. Pruitt is going to be 0-9 after this year with every game being a blowout if UF wins big again this season.

Super elite boomers that donate/run/and donate again to UT absolutely do not want any coach that has been/was/is involved in any sort of scandal. Why do you think they got Dooley? No scandals. Why get Butch? No scandals. Why was Schiano hired? No scandals. Why Pruitt? No scandals. Look at that list of poor souls Currie flew over hell and half of Georgia looking to hire. One thing in common? No scandals.

Freeze has been reborn and redeemed by Christ (amen brother!) for his past, but to the super elite UT boomers....he's not and never will be.

Wonder what one might find digging around in the closets of some of those "super elites"...
