Not going to happen if internal/administrative issues are where they are. We have to get everyone moving in the same direction with a single focus. Until that happens, we are dealing with 3rd / 4th tier coach.

He beat Bama twice with inferior talent. Once might be a fluke, but twice...

Would lock down Memphis.

I would also think his track record would help us land Ty Simpson.

Randy Boyd is system President. He's from Knoxville and went to UT. He owns the Smokies and has built an international business from the ground floor. The BOT selected him. He should not be afraid the slightest of getting fired for cleaning it up there. Or is he part of the problem?

Codswallop. Not only is the academic side neutral, even if it was the raging anti-UT football bastion that fans and others imagine it to be (which is honestly hilarious from my pov) the academic side has zero say or power in the university.

There's also nothing unique about our circumstances. We've used these excuses for 20 years and I'm not buying them any longer. Donors and the other actual powers that be need to get off their collective asses and hire us a real coach. Nothing will change until THEY do. Their excuses are as old and tired as each failed coach's.

100% agree with this. My problem with it is I don't think they know what they are doing, yet, they think they know what they are doing.

"What happened"? Nothing. That's the problem. The offense is scoring the same in SEC games as we did last year...20.7 vs 20.0 last year. Not even a full point improvement.

Not even shocked tbh though. Zero progress from the entire QB room. Losing JJ and MC killed us, especially on 3rd downs. ZERO TE threat too. Our OL was the hope for an explosive run game...and our longest run all year is just over 20 yards. We are on of 20 FBS teams to have ZERO runs of 30+ yards...wtf. We have zero creativity, motion, play action, things that could actually get us some freebie yards/points.

But I am more shocked we went from allowing 23 ppg to 31 ppg in the SEC with all these gurus.

Both sides of the ball just stink rn. Already figured Chaney's scheme might be outdated, but now I'm worrying Pruitt's might be slowly as well. He loves his run defense, but now we can't stop any RPOs, slants, explosive pass plays. He is still in the old mindset of "the team that runs for the most yards will win". I find all this the most discouraging.

Listening to Swain event. On the 2nd hr, Swain said Freeze would LOVE to be here at UT. Freeze wanted to be at UT as the OC.
But, Swain said he will probably end up at SC or another school.

I will be completely checked out of this program for a while if this happens. We would be on par with Vandy then.
