Funny how everyone takes a bad situation that involved Kiffin here and write him off as a bad coach. Kiffin is a good coach and Ole Miss is going to be a very tough team to beat in a couple of years. He is great a scheming with the talent he has.
Kiffy told him to kick the $h!t out of Kirby Smart...ass.What's your best guess on what the message said? lol
Lane Kiffin text to Jeremy Pruitt makes Tennessee Vols coach laugh
He'd better hurry, because the evidence suggests he won't be there long. The longest he's held a top job is 4 seasons and USC was worse-off when he left -- hence the reason he was fired. No major programs showed interest over the next few years. His short stint at FAU resurrected his career and gave him a chance to rack up a bunch of wins against the Bethune-Cookmans, Old Dominions and Wagners of the cfb world. But even one of those 3 seasons was a losing one. And he managed to lose games to teams like Charlotte and Buffalo along the way.
And all of that is aside from his abysmal NFL "career".
Kiffin is one of the main reasons TN has sucked for so long. You guys speak of him in a positive way. I don't want that asshat ever stepping on TN's campus again unless it's to kick the crap out of the team he's coaching.
Totally disagree. Fulmer was finished and most of us knew it. By the way, who hired him after UT?Firing Fulmer the way we did is THE main reason. Kiffin left in an immature and stupid way, being one of the youngest HCs in the P5. He did say that USC was his dream job and no one expected it to open. Kiffin wasnt the problem - his hiring made sense. The problem was hiring Dooley and then Butch after him. Clueless Admin who didnt know football from their backsides. Had CFP been ushered out in the right way, he should have been a lead part of selecting the next coaches.
Say what you want about the young Joey freshwater, the now much more experienced LK is going to cause serious headaches in SECW. He is a good schemer on O and he will attract talent to Ol Piss that would never have gone there otherwise.
No, you are correct to a certain extent, but his sudden departure humiliated the program’s reputation nationally for years. We are still suffering from that one action.
