Now if we could just make the World Cup every time. Our lackluster national team saddens me. Imo we could be really good if we had the right developmental structures. Belgium is #1 in the world right now and has the population of Ohio. All that said, the US shouldn’t lose in international play. Ever.
How old are you? It’s the absolute truth and is obvious in every NBA game watched. Maybe you are so used to seeing lackluster effort and never actually watched games when the NBA was physical. Those guys are pros in a league with roughly 60 players. They are the best in the world at what they do. There are hundreds of dudes looking to take their job. Anyone not giving “effort” is not going to last long in the NBA. Of all the bad takes on here, this is the worst.
Thought it was interesting that he mentioned Aaron Beasley as being the back up to To’oto’o. Wonder if he’s starting to carve a roll out for himself, or if it’s more a testament of how lacking in depth we are.
Big kid with a solid frame and could easily grow in to a linebacker. Very physical who can get downhill in a hurry and loves contact. Big hitter who plays with a nice physical edge to his game. Will bring an enforcer type mentality to the secondary and someone you can play in the box, close to the line of scrimmage. A plus athlete as well who can run and shows good balance and change of direction at running back. Will be interesting to see where his body goes in a few years, if he continues to bulk up, a move to linebacker could definitely happen and he has the toughness and physicality to easily make the move.
Aaron Medley had the same problem. I know him personally. He made everything in practice and had a monster leg. Early in his career he wasn't given opportunities in low-stress situations, and that hurt his confidence because he felt the coaching staff didn't trust him. It messed with his mentality. Then in high-stress situations, on top of his self-doubt, magnitude of situation, and comments like "You better not f*ckin miss," he wasn't in a good place to kick. Then he would receive thousands of death threats and hate mail from fans (which I'm sure JG has also experienced).
Pruitt said his team is dealing with COVID concerns. said they had more positive tests this week. Tested again this morning.
Pruitt said they have been at low to zero for most of their test. They weren't that low this week and so they cancelled practice today and retested.
Said he wanted to make sure they weren't spreading anything in the building.
The major problem with 5-day tests is lag. If there is even 1 positive, it keeps spreading, then unless you are 100% with tracing, the outbreak can continue after the results.Gibbs may decide to come back like that Vandy player.
Wish we could know how many players have covid. Like how much does it take for them to cancel a practice?
Guess its good we are getting a little outbreak out of the way.
