To Protect and to Serve II

*Although they didn’t resign completely, if that department has an ounce of integrity (which I’m sure they don’t) not a single one of those 57 officers would ever wear a badge again imo.
Cops play by different rules. Had that been any of us, our resignations would stick. But these guys will get the chance to crawfish back.

Agreed. I do believe there needs to be reform in law enforcement, but why take away the police. It will harm the low income and minority community all over these towns.

I’m one of the most critical of the police here. We do NOT need to defund the police. We already see the results in new York. Maceys has private security standing around to prevent looting. Without police the private security will rule in a way the police never thought of. If you get your ass beat by the security and there’s no police then there’s no recourse. The small business owners who cannot afford private security will be exterminated by criminals.

Defunding the police is moronic

Welcome to Bill de Blasio’s New York City.

Was there in August.
It’s really gone down hill recently.
This August when I go to Long Island to see family again we will not be going into the city.
I grew up there. The last few times I’ve been there, I am saddened by how bad it has become.
I will admit that Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen look better now than when I lived there but overall, not looking good.
