Pray for Jonesboro, AR. I live nearby. Large tornado hit this afternoon. We are trying contact friends to see if they are safe. We are all home. It hit lots of restaurants and businesses that fortunately were closed because of the coronavirus. Literally hundreds of people possibly saved because of closures.
Praying, that's where I go goose hunting.

The Federal Government already knows who has weapons. Anyone who thinks their personal arsenal or neighborhood watch group would stand a ghost of a chance against any of our armed forces is going to be very sadly mistaken. I don't think any president would order our troops to engage with our citizens. If the government wanted your guns, there would be almost nothing anyone could do to stop them.
You assume our men and women in uniform would turn on the civilian population?

Understand your positions. Actually you can own an automatic weapon, you just have to obtain what is commonly called a Class 3 license (that's not what the law actually calls them), plus the gun has to be registered. There is an exclusion for automatic weapons owned before 1986 but it gets rather technical as to what happens after the owner holding the exception dies. And there are gun trusts that can own Class 3 weapons.

True. And the stamp only costs a couple hundred bucks. But the costs of the weapon will be in the tens of thousands, and assuming you even want , or can afford, to spend $15k-$20k to get a fully automatic weapon, you will have to wait close to a year and you better hope you never even had a parking ticket once along time ago, because they will look for any excuse to delay or deny. And the feds have the record of that purchase.

I purchased an AOW-class weapon back in the '90s, and for AOWs the stamp is, or was then, only $5, and since it was a specialized shotgun, and not an automatic weapon, it wasn't priced out of range. But the feds also have a record of that purchase.

Personally, I have no desire to own an automatic weapon as a civilian, But I certainly wouldn't mind having that 3-shot burst option on my civilian guns. :)

Not big players in it all, but the tv producer and the girl that lost her hand seemed to be the only sane ones. And maybe the low key zoo manager, Reinke or whatever.

Yeah, I liked Reinke and Sassa(? spelling) both. They owned their part in everything and seemed like decent people....only people in the whole show I respected other than the campaign manager.

The producer wasn't nuts but he and nearly everybody else was trying to take advantage of the situation.

I have a really hard time believing our military would decimate our own people..just don't see it...they may go in for some limited police actions at first, but so many of them are right wingers by nature that I just don't see them wholesale slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Americans.
My best friend was in Iraqi freedom and a marine, frontline when we first invaded. We were drinking one night( only time he shares any stories with me) and we got to talking. I asked him if they asked him to go against the American people would he. He said hell yeah we would.

Biggest “what if” Tennessee player for you? A player who was either derailed by injuries, transfer, or removed from the team.

I’m going with Lamarcus Coker. Dude should have set records with his speed and vision, but he must have smoked 2 marajuanas during his career and was kicked off the team
I think NCAA 2008 the starting RB is based on Coker.

I guess it depends. Not worth the argument but I respect your opinion.

Hey, no issue, and not trying to argue with you. We may have been coming from differnet viewpoints. When I gave my answer in my mind I was thinking of a situation where a law-abiding citizen was using their weapon to defend their self, or their home and family. In those situations I think it would be better for the citizen to have the semi because he/she would be less likely to cause collateral damage than with spraying rounds. If you were coming from the other perspective where the shooter is the attacker, then yes, I could see your point, although I think it would depend on the scenario. If the shooter with an auto in a crowd could do significant damage by spraying.

Lol, Kentucky thinks they never commit a foul.

It always amazes me to listen to UK fans talk down to the rest of SEC fans like we don't understand the game of basketball like they do, as if because their team is considered a basketball that automatically makes them more knowledgeable about the game. Yet every time I watch a game being played at Rupp they whine and complain about every single call against them by the refs...just like the rest of SEC fans do.

And yeah, I know UT fans think we know more about football than UK fans do because our program is a football school, but that's different. We really do more than they do about football.

Hate to hear about it. Brings back memories from 1973 when I was at ASU working on my undergrad there. Tornado alley. Glad y'all are OK and praying for everybody.
