Lots of things cause people to die when they didn't have to. Unfortunately, that's part of life. You can't stop death, and if you live in fear of it, you miss out on a lot of living.
All true, but if keeping my short, fat a** mostly at home for the next few weeks (which makes sense) helps to keep even one person from contracting the thing I'm willing to do that. Fear? Hardly. But, I get it..... You're not willing to make ANY sacrifices, reasonable or not. That's your prerogative, I guess. I just wish I had as much surety in my knowledge of epidemiology and other related matters as you.
I have family that are smack-dab in the middle of the age "danger zone".... some with other underlying medical conditions that could mean very bad news if they contract it. And I'll bet I'm not in the minority. That makes me wonder why anyone is willing to risk it at all. AND makes me wonder about what kind of person would willingly ignore those risks because...... they simply don't want to? Because people are going to die anyway? Those don't strike me as particularly good reasons to put someone else's life in danger.
But, then, I guess I'm just a p***y.
