I like this setup. Gets Small in space where he can use his speed. Hodge can be your short down and distance hammer, maybe even lineup at FB from time to time. Whitehead can provide depth at LBer which we need. And Evans can split carries with Gray to keep both of them fresh.Whitehead is a Lb all day, and Small likely will be used like Mechole and Hill for the Chiefs. Odge and Evans at Rb
Of course Ricky was a beast in college and even had a solid pro career once he removed his head from his backside and decided to play. As long as he kills it here is all I’m concerned with.If you remember Ricky Williams from Texas, he retired and said he never really liked football. I wonder if this kid even likes the game. If you read that article about him from back in the summer, it says as much.
He doesn’t watch the NFL or College football and growing up didn’t like playing the organized game. He was into drawing and origami. With his history, I think there’s a real risk he enrolls and bails after two weeks of training camp. Decruitment will be epic.
Very possible.
But my understanding is that the entire team turned them over. Don't know enough to comment much more than that but doesn't sound like ZE was singled out in this particular instance.
Definitely seems like the type to respect authority just because it's expected. Seems more like the type whose gives respect when earned and he feels it's warranted.
This doesn't make him a bad kid but will definitely rub certain "authority figures" the wrong way. I feel like he is a good fit for our staff to mold him into a successful man.
This is just my feeling....I could be completely off base and he could just be a punk but comments from people around him make me pretty comfortable in my assessment.

He's a senior, the night before a state championship game though. He's known about this team policy for his entire career playing at that HS for that HC. Why was it now an issue the night before the state title game?
