Practice participation throughout the week isn't the same as being medically cleared to play, since there's no QB contact during weekly practice. Brian Maurer wasn't announced being cleared until Wednesday with just 2 practice sessions left for the week.
Do you expect to see any of the redshirt candidates playing any meaningful minutes in our next three games? For those who haven't played any, it seems a great way to get some game experience for next year. They decided to RS him a while back. I think he's fully recovered from his knee injury, but either he keeps reaggravating it or they're just giving him more time. I thought we could see him some, too.
Maurer was cleared for team reps before JG. I'm surprised they played JG so much. He was in quite a bit of pain on the sideline and it was worse after he fell on his cast. He had hardly any grip in his left hand. He's one tough guy.
From what I can tell everyone knew 18 was able to play all week and I know he took first team reps early in the week per VQ practice reports
There you go @MoCo_Vol
Pruitt announced Maurer was cleared to play for the game Wednesday after practice. Being that practice is again (as I already said) a non-contact affair for the QB, he was able to fully participation in practice all week and since Maurer is our #1 QB, he got the bulk of the reps as we all are well aware of...
What are you arguing again? I know this is "what you do" but you're constantly changing directions, so just want to get back on the same page.

The bammer refs didn't stop it.I just rewatched the first half of the game. I noticed we went five wide a couple of times near the end of the first half. This helped free up some space and it helped the offense move the ball. Additionally, we should run Jennings inside the wild cat anytime we get inside the 10 yard line. His quickness and strength helped us score that touchdown close to halftime.
