Honestly, I hope it is Stoops. Not so much that he's a thorn in UT's side or anything, but mostly cause he seems to be a good coach who does things the right way and I want the best for him.

He won't ever get above that 3rd/4th struggle at Kentucky, and he could potentially be the 2nd best team in the ACC every year.

Would help us with some UK commits too

anyone worth taking would likely follow to FSU. Higher profile program in Florida with your coach. Seems like an easy sell. No one is going for the sake of Lexington itself
Might want to save FSU’s class...currently ranked 18th with 17 commits.

Rumors are picking up that Stoops has already talked to FSU. UT is picking up steam with several top recruits. UT has three QBs and Wright good to go this weekend and a bigtime recruit committing this week. The sun is shining on UT for Kentucky Week.

Assumption is Maurer starts if he's 100%, and I hope he has his coming out party. He's honestly showed he can move the ball, but he's not really had a good outing yet. I'd like to see him sling a few TDs and go over 250 at about 60% clip and run for 50 or so with another TD or 2 on the ground.

Just an absolute slaughter honestly... 35-0 or something one-sided.

Hearing Pruitt make it a point to emphasis he was full go last week in his presser today tells me 18 isn’t going to be much of a factor.

My money says JG takes 75% or more of the snaps Saturday

These next 3 games are going to be intense as hell.

I may need to ask someone to take my phone and laptop away from me during the game

Bruin buddy...there's a good reason most this thread has you on ignore.

It was UAB buddy. We smoked USC with JG/JT, and Maurer was cleared late in the week. Risk vs Reward, we didn't need him. Jennings coulda ran wildcat that entire game and we'd still beat UAB going away by 2 scores. I think Jarrett saw the bulk of the play because he's a 4 year guy and it was homecoming, and I honestly expect this is his last year at UT. Hopefully he grad transfers to a good situation where he can ball out, maybe OU? I actually think he'd be great in the Air Raid system.

Anyway...the only reason Maurer didn't play is he wasn't needed to win and it wasn't worth it to risk him having a major setback. Not with 3 SEC teams left to play (2 of which are away games).

That's from 2017 and it's Dennis Dodd.

Yes, but there are quotes there from Ray Anderson who is still employeed as AD at ASU. At the time in 2017 it was widely speculated he and Currie were pals. Just found it interesting when brought up earlier by a co-worker. Could he possibly be harboring some feelings towards UT and Fulmer is all I was alluding to.

OU? LOLOLOLOLOL Riley wouldn't even take his call.

I don’t believe 18 was cleared late in the week. I think he was cleared all week.

Besides don’t you think Pruitt learned from the Georgia state game and to not take anything for granted?

I don’t believe for a second Pruitt did anything but put the players in the uab game he thought would win. He didn’t hold anything back imo

And lord have mercy surely you don’t think Pruitt played JG to make his homecoming special

don't you have a kissing wife video to watch?

Nuh uh, I'm done. Saw KV and Jack Burton liked your post and Bruin had invol's back.
If you got that kind of fair and balanced support, I was obviously mistaken. I'll just go ahead and apologize for misunderstanding right now.

He's on his own and Waffle House just added grilled Bass to their menu. I'm out!!!

Sometimes I LIKE your posts, too. What does that say?

Practice participation throughout the week isn't the same as being medically cleared to play, since there's no QB contact during weekly practice. Brian Maurer wasn't announced being cleared until Wednesday with just 2 practice sessions left for the week.

By this logic, Pruitt feels not just JG, but Shrout also gives us a better chance of winning than Maurer. Even with JG sputtering the offense along for the entire first half, culminating in a terrible redzone interception...instead of giving Maurer a shot, he went back to Shrout to start the second half. If that is all true, Maurer should just enter the portal now. However, a reasonable spectator could see that Maurer was only "available" if there was an emergency situation.

If Maurer is actually a "100%" for these last 3 games, he is QB1. He could lose that job by turning the ball over too much, but the only times he was pulled during the Georgia, Miss State, or Bama games were due to injuries. He moves the offense A LOT better than the other 2 options. This isn't rocket science.

Right, but I’m assuming we are only interested in maybe the top 20% of Kentucky’s class. Those might be worth chasing to FSU. Below that, Mehville
Or he’d chase higher end uncommitteds. Justin Rogers stock is dropping and Trevor Rybka is a 3 star.
