My view on it was they wanted to give the perceptions of a QB sneak so the bama LBs would crash inside which would play into the blocking scheme. Although that would just make Jg even dumber if he didn’t realize that would kill any chance of a Qb sneak working. I have too with that he went rogue though because the entire line blocked for a run play.
If this was the coaches plan .. it was a great play call in a very short amount of time to decide. This would probably be a situation where you call 2 plays in the huddle on 3rd down. "Run crash and pull dive left on 3rd .. then hurry to the line and run it again on 4th if needed". You can understand the coaches frustration when their own QB ruined it on 4th down.

But he didn't change the play, if he did there wasn't another soul on that offense that knew about it. I dont have a problem with him checking to another play but that doesn't seem to be what he did.
Yep, sorry that I was not clear. He changed it , but he did not tell anyone he did.

The odds of JG doing something to lose the game are much higher than the odds that he plays well enough to propel us to a win. That’s just the truth, nothing in his history suggests he’s the best option to get this team a W.

I agree if the QB has to win the game

I don’t think that’s the kind of game this one will be. I think the defense and running game can win the game and qb just doesn’t need to lose it. I think 12 would be much more likely to lose it than 2

I think JG Butched the rogue fumble play. While he was here, I had the perception that he believed he was smarter than everyone else and thought he was clever with many of his game day decisions. I think that philosophy also contributed to him handcuffing his coordinators like Shoop and Debord. I think JG did the same. He thought he was being clever and would catch everyone off guard. Did not work.

Agreed

I feel comfortable the play wasn’t called in a traditional sense. The play was likely called on 3rd down or something that was practiced regarding what should happen when a play is hurried up in short yardage

As much as I dislike Jg at moment he is best chance at a win without BM Saturday. He has had some success at times vs Muschamp just faltered late. He was really good last yr most of that game. I’d expect a heavy dose of the run game regardless. This OL is playing with a mean streak so need to try and take advantage of it.
Agree to some extent. I think we all agree that JG is playing worse this year than he did last year. He has had about one good quarter all year, tbh.

Come on paininmyass...get on board with Rouge Two..
I am guessing that is a reference I don't recognize, so I don't catch the full implications; but can't Rogue Fumble also go by Rogue Two? There's a lot of aspects to that epic fail.
If someone else does it, we can have a Rogue Squadron
Mightn't a clusterf--k qualify as a Rogue Squadron all by his lonesome?

Could he go by the name of his alleged audible: the infamous "Silent but deadly"?

That’s what they said about 18 too. Some times you just need a chance to show what you can do with a full game and full prep as the starter.
He looked as bad as JG I thought. 3 plays against bama and he got a delay of game. He always seems to be slightly off on his passes too.

He was on the field because the refs did not step in to give Bama a chance to substitute because Tennessee had.

Makes sense
Thanks.

Then we should be able to see where he was lined up the play before to see if they were indeed running the same formation. I know he was on the right side and the play had to wait for him to get set on the left side so maybe it was a completely different formation

I know that it is very likely to happen anyway, but if Coach Pruitt decides to start JG, I am going to ask our fans on here not to boo. I think booing the home team at a game is among the most classless things you can do. I don't care what you paid for your ticket. Also, how does it make the rest of the team feel? Probably, not very good. @me if you must, but booing the home team is classless and cowardly.
Yup. The whole teams feels it as do the coaches. Boo birds need to have their ticket revoked and kicked out.

I mean just imagine the difference between booing and the whole crowd cheering wildly when the offense steps out, regardless of QB. They will feel the whole stadium is behind them.

After reading an article by Ubben on the Athletic, where he interviews a bunch of different neurologists about playing the week after receiving two concussions in back to back games, I don't think there's any way BM starts on Saturday. The only way would be that the hit in the Bama game didn't actually result in a concussion. We're going to have to ride with JG.

I’ve got the solution. Our announcer when announcing JG needs to have a very elongated TAAAAANO.

It will be similar to when crowds boo Bruce Pearl. You can’t tell if they are cheering or booing

Problem solved

It’s reasonable to think he didn’t have a concussion either week
