Honestly, there's just a lot that went "wrong"

If it's truly just a he didn't know what the play call was, or was having trouble getting the audible in then why not call the timeout? I'd take my butt chewing over a timeout the coach didn't want any day of the week, cause when you have a moment you can say "Coach, I wasn't sure of the call and didn't want to run the wrong play here." The coach after he calmed down at least will understand that thought process.

The team ran a different play, plain and simple. OLine blocked for it, Pope crashed for it, and Crouch was waiting to get the hand-off. Now for whatever reason JG had for running the QB sneak, the absolute last thing you want to do on a 4th and goal on Bama's 1 foot line is....TURN THE BALL OVER. Tuck it and try to push ahead, hoping Crouch can give you some help. Get stopped and still be down by 2 scores with Bama's struggle offense pinned deep with a QB they aren't trusting to throw the ball and see what the defense can do.

To make a half-hearted attempt at a dive/ball reach to break the plane though...just awful. So many mistakes all by the same person on the same play isn't something you can just chalk up to coincidence, it's a fault in the player at some level that they didn't think the process through more.

I agree with all this

I am just fed up with fans questioning the motives of the kid.

The kid absolutely sucks balls
Right now. I think he can be better if he somehow regained his confidence but there is no denying he sucks balls.

The kid absolutely wants to win. He didnt make that decision to run the ball because of some selfish ambition. He made it because he wants to win. 110% believe that and sick and tired of posters saying different. Clearly he doesn’t try to make plays for glory. Hell he holds on to the ball way to long for a player wanting all the glory and I wish he did have more gunslinger in him.

The kid wasn’t paid off or blew the play on purpose. It’s completely ignorant for posters to say that as he has some really big 3rd down pick ups that same drive that never happen if he was bought.

That’s the part where fans actually believe those two extremes that is just plain sad and dumb

I know that it is very likely to happen anyway, but if Coach Pruitt decides to start JG, I am going to ask our fans on here not to boo. I think booing the home team at a game is among the most classless things you can do. I don't care what you paid for your ticket. Also, how does it make the rest of the team feel? Probably, not very good. @me if you must, but booing the home team is classless and cowardly.

Why, just why?
Have to give credit where it's due.. Because this is what Bruin is good at. When folks know a point or fact that proves him wrong, they think they win.
But in reality, he never cared about the point. Disruption and attention was the goal the entire time. As far as he's concerned, he's walking away with a big ol' victory the last 2 days. 🤦‍♂️

There is no damn winning with the insults and personal attacks being thrown at one of our VFLs

It’s very sad

Which is basically what I said. But he went with his own call, not the call of the coaches. The rest of the team was quite obviously running a different play. Sure, JG was playing to win, but he took it all upon himself in that moment rather than being a team player. That's referred to as being selfish. Win as a team, lose as a team, but JG didn't make a team choice. He chose to try and score himself and it backfired royally. Are you arguing he shouldn't be held accountable for a personal decision he made in that moment?
If you are arguing with Bruin...then you are wasting your breath. He is a stinking contrarion troll, and that is all he has ever been, and all he will ever be.

As much as I despise that guy as a football player, and as much as the thought of seeing him behind center in a Vol uni ever again makes me want to puke..I would never boo our team. I have boo'd the coaches for doing stupid stuff at games before, but never the players, I might have screamed bloody murder their way but I have not and will not boo...

I can not watch JG live saturday. If we by some miracle were to win, I will watch the recording, but I will not cause myself to have a stroke by watching that spastic fool screw his team, his coaches and us again.

I will never understand why normally at least semi-intelligent people do not get this..🤔

We need to win this game, Booing is the worst thing we can do. There is a chance JG could play like he did at Auburn and Kentucky (if Maurer is out) and we have to give him every chance to do that.

Don't argue with Bruin. He is like a dog with a bone and will lecture and argue till the next millenium. Meanwhile, he is the guy that said Maurer was faking his injury, so he definitely needs to get off the high horse.

I think everybody wants BM to be healthy so JG isn't an option.

That said... If #2 plays... Have to support him. We need to win and who takes the snaps won't matter if we can win.

I'll understand the boos should they happen...

But we don't need them. At all. And it won't help with anything to do with the program.

After yesterday's presser - I'm all in on CJP. He's improving strongly just like the team is improving. The SEC office and Steve Shaw have been put on notice. The players are figuring it out and CJP/staff have their attention. Jim Chaney is absolutely the right guy for OC and UGA now knows it. With even a game manger QB that was accurate and could get the ball out on time this team has now proven it could and should have won 8 games this season.

The future is so bright. Bailey/Maurer at QB changes things starting next season. The O-line is going to be awesome in coming years. Excellent talent at receiver. The D-line is coming on strong. TooToo and Crouch are going to start in the NFL one day. Tank is going to be amazing and our excellent CB's are back on track.

Recruiting will get better now. Win out and lets see what happens.
Yes sir.

What exactly do you call support? If he can manage the game, and not hurt the team, I will support that, but you KNOW that Mushdump is going to stack the box and make that spastic idiot beat us.

He has to make plays for us to win, and not suck. He is going to suck, and we are going to probably lose because he sucks...again.

I can not support that..at all.

I do agree with you 100% about the booing..It is stupid.

what? If #2 plays, you don't win. Simple truth that I can't believe people haven't grasped at this point.

Totally agree, and I don't know that he'll just get boo'd for coming out to start. But I hope he doesn't commit an early turnover or something, cause then we'll hear 'em.

Just deafening silence when he is announced.
