Let's be honest guys we all know why those bad calls were made

What is funny is that the only part that is photo-shopped is the cash. The rest of the actions by the ref really happened.

I love Locke Lamora. Extremely good. I am definitely ready for the next book. Memory, Sorrow and Thorn might be my very favorite. I love Tad Williams. The history and races he creates for his world are absolutely fantastic. He has started a second trilogy to Memory... called The Witchwood Crown, I think. He has released two of those books.
Is the 2nd trilogy as good? I've been debating checking it out. TW was really amazing. First half of dragonbone chair was a little rough to me, but after that the trilogy was phenomenal.

Don’t know if anyone else heard it but Ainge this morning was saying Maurer won’t play cause back to back concussions and he could end up in a coma etc etc. I don’t even think we know that is exactly what he’s had but in any case just relaying what he said.
I've been iffy on what hes been saying. I don't think he has information on Maurers medical so hes assuming concussion protocol means concussion. Yet last week, he was talking about Maurer not having one. Idk. I'm sure we will get the answer to that in about an hour.

i want a post season game. this team is capable of doing it. at some point....we need to do it. happy with the difference from game 1 to today, yes.

but win games that matter...now. we didn't win any that mattered prior to last week against MSU.

now there's soemthing on the line again.

go make it happen.

I agree but I think the offense is going to be too handcuffed. JG is no longer an option. Need Maurer healthy again ASAP.

Which he mainly did in garbage time when bama wasn’t trying

Not true. Lol

Rusher for 76 in quarter 1 when they led. On pace for 304.

Actually rushed for 276. That ain’t mainly in garbage time. Not even close. In fact ran better when it wasn’t garbage time lol

There's no doubt in my mind that if Maurer finishes the game we win
Yup. We would have beaten Bama and the refs. We're close. And once we start the season 5-0 next fall or the fall after we'll start getting the rigged ref crews. That's all thats happening here. Certain teams at the top get these rigged calls to keep those teams at the top, keep the cash flowing, keep the SEC with 1-2 teams in the playoffs. That officiating crew the other night made that very clear, they were way over the top obvious. Same thing happened in the UF/USC game. The SEC is going to do whatever they have to do to get either UF or UGA in ATL vs Bama or LSU and they'll make sure 2 get in the playoffs.

If UT shocks the Sooners in Norman next fall and beats the Gators in Neyland, watch for the Vols to get these type of calls. They'll want to help UT along the way to ATL. It's very transparent after Saturday night.

I like the immediate explanation by the “rules expert” claiming that running down the field holding the back of an opposing player trying to make a tackle is not a hold. Anyone else think that gets called if the jerseys were swapped?
Wait, stiffarm holding the back of someone's jersey so they can't turn and tackle your teammate, isn't holding?
Someone get this to our OL and forget Maurer's health, we going 100% run plays from now on.😂😂

There's going to be even more controversy when it comes to the playoffs. If LSU beats Bama, how are they going to give Bama a spot? The SEC wants Saban to have the record, and LSU looks like a more complete team, so isn't that a quandry?

With UT-SCAR playing this week, I think it would be a PSA if both programs called attention to the officiating. Put a spotlight on it and force accountability, from the conference office to the field.
i'm not sure LSU or Bama have the defenses they're used to having from a championship caliber standpoint.

i think both offenses are excellent and that should be a good match up assuming Tua can play.

i think LSU may be a tad better overall, but the game is in Tuscaloosa......

as enamoured as we are with the QB's and WR's for both teams, i think that games comes down to who runs it the best, and i'd give the edge to LSU. i'd give special teams to LSU.

and yeah, i think Muschamp and pruitt should both at least acknowledge the officiating issue everyone already knows exists. SEC offices sticking their heads in the sand doesn't make it go away.

I agree it started slow. I really am enjoying the second trilogy. I think the last book won't be out until like Spring of '21, so you might want to wait. I don't read very much any more. I tend to listen on audible, but I read MST originally and have listened to it on audible now. I will likely re-listen to the first two books in this trilogy before the last one comes out.

Well it's USC week now, Bama game is done and over with.

They put up more yards than the Gators did, on what was "supposed" to be one of the best defenses in the SEC. Over 200 yards running as well, should we be a bit worried?

I'm hoping USC is worn down from the emotional roller-coaster they've gone through the last few weeks. We gave #1 Bama all they wanted into the 4th quarter, regardless of the final score. Didn't have any major injuries other than Maurer.

Feel like every week more and more freshman are getting snaps and contributing too, and they all seem hungry to play.

find a way.

i agree with you, siap, the qb is our biggest issue and could be the reason for our demise the rest of the way. so i totally agree, and won't be surprised with a 3-2 finish.

but i really want this team, this staff to find a way to a 4-1 finish. winning this weekend would go a long long way to that end.

Sure that played a role but over 200 yards rushing given up to a bad Ole miss team isn’t good.

The only ole miss game I have seen was against Memphis and they were awful that game on O
Ole Miss leads the SEC in total rushing yards.

Feaster is a very good back. We need to contain him to some degree. Their defense is like ours, I think. We have to find a way to get to about 24 to win, IMO. That's going to be tough to do without Maurer (if he does not play), and still not easy if he does play.

Did they actually call roughing the passer? I think they only called targeting. That in and of itself, is criminal. You can't have a potential targeting hit on the QB without it being a personal foul, whether it's targeting or not. Also, people are failing to mention the play where JG got hit in the face so hard his helmet came off and no roughing was called on that play, either.

In all fairness, JG’s helmet comes off like 5 times a game as it is cause he doesn’t tighten the effing chin straps And I’m sure the refs notice that too.

Just have to game plan for them a lot like we did for Miss St. to limit Feaster, but the MSU game show'd we were more than capable of putting a damper on a teams star RB

yeah, Tua was out, so was our starter. and is anyone really gonna start to tell us how "even" our rosters our all the sudden with the absence of Tua?

Tua or not, we matched, if not exceeded, Bama physically on the LOS.

that ain't got nothing to do with Tua.

and our WR's matched up well with their DB's...gave them problems all night physcially.

put all the officiating to the side, and the JG play to the side, and we played them as close to even as we have in 10 years....i can only recall the 2009 and 2015 games that were as good a match up physically.

i think this game becomes the game that shows we are turning a corner, IF we can take the momentum from last week, the positives from this week and turn it in to something that can carry us, and build on, the rest of the way. we aren't going to play another teamt he rest of the schedule that is as talented or as physical as Bama, UGA, or UF.

the concern is "who are we?" are we the team that just needs stop shooting ourselves in the foot? or are we the team that does shoot ourselves in the foot?

whoever the QB is can't keep turning it over. and we simply can't have the penalties. while i have my own issues wiht many of the calls that went against us, there were plenty that were legit....especially the false starts, illegal motion or illegal formation type stuff....

anyway, i've seen enough from us this year to see improvement from game 1 thru Saturday. and i've seen us "finish" an SEC game the way you'd like to see us to.

we need to do it 4 or 5 more times...and the good news is there's 5 more opportunities to do it.

go beat USCe this weekend, get this bowl momentum going and FINISH this season the right way.
You do know we were the least penalized team in the SEC before that game..right? And I am not covering for that garbage officiating crew...they were twisted.

Just rewatching the game, we are either the best 2 win team in the country or Bama is not a really good team. Granted Tua was out, but our DL was getting pressure on most plays.

I still can't figure out why the officials stopped game play when Chandler went into the wild cat formation. As soon as he lined up as wildcat, they blew the whistle.
We are probably #2

Why do I keep seeing post so happy about how physical we were?

Sure there were encouraging parts and I am excited about the future but these takes about us taking over the LOS are just not true. If they were the 4th down JG debacle would have never happened. We have to remember we had it first and goal on the 2 and got whipped for 3 straight plays
This is bait but I’ll take it. JG 4th down debacle had nothing to do with OL play. Did you not see the gap on the left that you could drive a truck through? Jordan averaged 5.8 yards a carry and Chandler averages 5.5 yards a carry. I don’t know what constitutes owning the LOS but when you compare how young our line is to their talent, we took it to them pretty good. And probably should have tried to run more.
