Does the SEC ever make a statement regarding officiating? I know it’s rare, but I do seem to remember on certain instances, they have.

They will not say anything about our game. You could expect a rare statement about a near end of game clear blown call that cost a game.

It is laughable that the SEC would assign Alabama fans to Alabama games.

Basically, Wanya pins the end, Trey pulls and flattens anyone outside the edge - which he did. FB was also there to help clear the way, but Crouch was likely walking in. There are a lot of videos online re the pin and pull. While the technique isn’t new, maybe the terminology is?

Had JG not dove over the middle, the OLB likely would have followed the FB to the hole. Crouch still would have gotten in.

I should've been more clear/fair (and will edit my post) -- nothing i saw in my five minutes of googling showed any evidence of him actually being a Bama football fan. But the irony of a guy from Birmingham who's big in the state's youth wrestling circuit blowing a phantom whistle for no apparent reason when Tennessee is about to run a gadget play from the 5 yard line against Bama is enough to get my conspiracy antenna into the air.

Since the game is in Neyland, I am sure it will be South Carolina. Plus, they opened as a four point favorite, which is strange to me, considering the game that we came off of and the last two games they have come off of. They are due for more of an emotional letdown more than we are, and it’s a home game for us. Since the home team gets three points, they are saying South Carolina is seven points better than us. I just don’t see it, but maybe I am wrong. Makes me think that Vegas knows something, and that something is probably pertaining to how the game will be called. We have to remember that we know Alabama is controlling the entire SEC, so the Gumps are wanting to keep us down as long as possible. How do you do that? Affect other games and make us lose, which will affect recruiting and not allow us to get the players to make our way back to the top.

I hear both teams are getting to play call your own fouls. Like you do in pick up basketball. SEC office doesn’t feel they need to worry about either of the 2 teams trying to win against contenders anymore and they’ve learned their lessons.

There should be some jury selection criteria that ADs can use to say, “Naw, that one’s a homer. Try again.”

I like the immediate explanation by the “rules expert” claiming that running down the field holding the back of an opposing player trying to make a tackle is not a hold. Anyone else think that gets called if the jerseys were swapped?
