That's literally what everyone is talking about right now.One thing I haven't seen anyone point out about the officiating of the Bama game ...
* Roughing the passer and targeting were called on the Maurer hit by the officiating crew on the field. The SEC office review team (in Birmingham) overturned the call.
*No penalty was called on the field on the Bituli hit by the officiating crew. The SEC office review team (in Birmingham) overturned the NO call and made it targeting on Bituli.
People have been calling for the Officiating Crew to be suspended. It goes much deeper than that in the SEC.
It has been obvious for years (UT vs Auburn SECCG) that the SEC protects its higher ranked teams so the conference can reap the $$$ during playoff/bowl season. It will probably take a media push from outside the conference to point out the hypocrisy to force any changes to the SEC officiating.
Tua was out greatly limiting Bama but I feel like we nearly outcoached thenEven with the horrendous officiating, the Vols were in a position to bring it to a one-score game late in the 4th. So the #92 team in the country had the opportunity to steal momentum and put themselves in a position to beat the #1 team in the country. That's pretty amazing. Most of the players had a good game and the L wasn't for lack of effort.
Of course, 20-28 would have looked so much better than 13-35, and if not for that one play, that's how it could've ended. But we learned that UT can bring the fight and hang with anybody for four quarters. Just need that QB.
They’ve gotten better since week 1 lolSure that played a role but over 200 yards rushing given up to a bad Ole miss team isn’t good.
The only ole miss game I have seen was against Memphis and they were awful that game on O
I agree about Mat. That is my only complaint of BSs work on tWoT, but to be fair I also think he got better at writing him by the last book, and he nailed everybody else, especially Zen Rand.I thought Sanderson did pretty well finishing the WoT series...my favorite books, btw. My major complaint was how he deals with Mat's character. He didn't seem to know how to write that character and tried too hard to make him funny. Other than that I think he took a lot of loose ends and tied them together well even if it was a little rushed.
Sanderson's own works don't have those issues as much. Stormlight is the only one that I feel is up there with WoT, GoT, Kingkiller, Black Company, etc. I think Sanderson has too many projects going at once and tries too hard to be a volume writer but Stormlight is amazing and the Mistborn books are very good.
Rothfuss is definitely a superior storyteller. He builds a story that is fully engrossing and doesn't give a damn about pacing or any of the things Sanderson tries too hard with.
JMO....please share any recommendations. I'm about to finish the 3rd Locke Lamora book and need a new series.
Kid laid a lick on that QB...I’m starting to question why hasn’t been in those “spy packages” or “Rabbit packages” to dial up pressure sooner.he looked like he was shot out of a cannon on that sack he had.

There's going to be even more controversy when it comes to the playoffs. If LSU beats Bama, how are they going to give Bama a spot? The SEC wants Saban to have the record, and LSU looks like a more complete team, so isn't that a quandry?
With UT-SCAR playing this week, I think it would be a PSA if both programs called attention to the officiating. Put a spotlight on it and force accountability, from the conference office to the field.
Did they actually call roughing the passer? I think they only called targeting. That in and of itself, is criminal. You can't have a potential targeting hit on the QB without it being a personal foul, whether it's targeting or not. Also, people are failing to mention the play where JG got hit in the face so hard his helmet came off and no roughing was called on that play, either. One thing I haven't seen anyone point out about the officiating of the Bama game ...
