you can't argue trajectory in a positive manner given the record we have right now, so i'm not really gonna try.

the only thing i will say is that in regards to the QB, the way he was used/managed last year to what he was expected to do this year are two differen things.....he simply wasn't asked to do much last year. you saw it in his number in attempts the typs of throws he was asked to make etc....

this year, he was expected to be more of that field general, gonna make calls, check in/out of plays, be more of a play maker, put more of the offense on his shoulders.

he can't do it. that's bad. and worse, he gave no indication thru out the off season that he couldn't do it.

this, to me, is the single most detrimental issue this year's football team has........

second to that would be the play we've gotten in the defensive backfield, specifically at Safety. AT has had his struggles, but i put that on the concept change to some degree, and not having Thompons to start the year.

positives....RB, OL and LB--LB has not been stellar, but there are signs of life.....and the future looks pretty good.

WR i think have been better, there's just been no pay off given the QB play.

if you want to find positives, you can. but getting someone to see past 1-3 is difficult. having said all that, still have the major issue at QB........the issue at Safety and our DL is still a question mark, though on the whole, we've been a little better against the run.
So you’re saying the offense was managed better last year? That’s all I need to hear.

There are some positives. I’m not discounting it all. The offensive line has gotten much better and looks like it will continue to blossom as this group plays together. Special teams are still pretty good. We’ve got more talent at RB and LB but somehow less depth.

Otherwise everything is equal or worse compared to last year - as we’ve talked about before.

Because you're takes are terrible on Bronco, and the typos are distracting as well!

Eh, doesn't matter anyway. Pruitt is our coach and I'm riding with him until he's fired. Then I'll get my hopes up for names floated in the next search, probably hate who they hire. Then completely flip my opinion and be all in again, rinse/lather/repeat.

y'all r the 1's triing to mak a coch that wnt 2-10 in to somthin we shud b happy with...not me.......

and typos...you want typos....i got you bruh!!!

never said otherwise.

just gonna have to find something better to "what if" with than a guy that went 2-10, and tell me we'd be happier with him, knowing full well you have no desire what so ever to see Pruitt even get a shot at a year 3 or 4 turnaround like BM has gotten at UVA.... lol.
It’s not about my desire to see Pruitt do anything. He has to earn it. And we’ve set benchmarks to see if he earns it from here out.

not what i said at all..... just that it is different. and it was/is situationally or circumstance driven.

last year....bad O line, not sure about WR's or RB or TE. LOTS of new everywhere in a year 1 for a brand new staff.

this year, not so much. the QB is expected to take steps forward just like everyone else on the offense. i think for the most part, everyone else on the offense took those steps. except the QB.

Year 1 for a new HC means absolutely nothing imo. Not in college, not with buyouts, coaching searches, early signing period...it doesn't mean anything.

0-12, 2-10, 4-8, 5-7 all of it's a wash. Cause it's that "first year" excuse even if the HC won a national title at his previous job.

Will Pruitt make a bowl game in year 2, that's what it really comes down to. At this point in his career Pruitt isn't even close to the same level of HC as Bronco. Pruitt is however our coach and thus the guy leading the ship, and I'm not jumping off board anytime soon so let's ride!

not what i heard last year. no such thing as a year zero.

now there is? cause, narriatives............

So my opinion last year was that I -did- care about year one results for a brand new HC...cause funny thing, you know.

I never said that. So my narrative* or opinion hasn't changed, and I have no control over anyone else's.

Anyway, I’m done with this fight.

Pruitt has not done a good job so far and you all know it. No amount of excuses will change it.

We have the talent to - at minimum - win 3 of our remaining games. If we do not, he SHOULD be fired and I believe he will be.

Anything less than a bowl game this year (which ain’t gonna happen) will result in a lame duck season next year and we’ll have effectively pushed off the coaching search for 12 months.

You all can pretend we’re a QB away or heading in the right direction all you want but things will have to totally flip for Pruitt to keep his job. It doesn’t matter what we’re “rooting for” or hoping to happen. This ain’t like tinkerbell where we’re only successful if we believe really hard.

Blah blah blah, I’ve fought this fight for nothing. I’m moving on.

Later, rednecks.

Oh, thank God....

It is what it is, sucks we don't have much positive to talk about with football.

My optimism is damaged. Had we beaten Georgia State 2-2 right now I'd be disappointed, but a lot more positive. That game hurt a ton. I'm excited to watch Basketball this year, I think Kellie will have a good product and I'm sure even with a step back Barnes won't let the team regress a ton. Probably still finish top 4-6 in the SEC and make the NCAA.

I don’t think we have comparable rosters to them. We have lots of young talent who have been in a strength program for 1 year, maybe 2. Maybe on paper we do but you see them results the last few years . We are getting beat because these other teams have depth and have stability in strength and conditioning . Ga state is the outlier.

Yea that vandy roster. Whew loaded.
