Roster Changes

Grant would be undersized at the 2 in the NBA not to mention the disadvantage in speed/quickness. He's the classic tweener. Might catch on in Europe but I don't see him in the NBA...at least for long.

Good god no he’s not undersized he’s 6’6/230 that’s a good size wing in the NBA. He’s the same size as Draymond Green, PJ Tucker, Jae Crowder, and there’s more. He’s perfectly fine size for the 3/4. His problem is overall jumping ability and to finish over bigger guys. If he learns to shoot more (and his percentages suggest he can become a good shooter) he will be fine

I think he returns for his Sr. Season unless this team gets to the Final 4 because he will have some unfinished business to take care of..
Well it would be a terrible decison if he want to play in the NBA.

He is seen as a first rounder. You don't pass up the guaranteed money.

I had seen him listed at 6'5". In any event, he's going to have to work hard at his perimeter game not to mention quickness and ball handling if he's thinking of playing the 2 in the NBA.

There's a lot more guaranteed money in the first 14 picks vs. the bottom of the first round. Grant is still undersized for the NBA and must show he can hit from beyond the arc

Is Grant going to grow three inches or get a 40 inch vertical between his junior or senior year? No, so he can’t improve his stock anymore. He’s a guy that will be drafted in the late teen’s/20’s range.

Tennessee lists him at 6’7. I’ll knock an inch off and say he’s 6’6.

He is already a first rounder. That is the point. And he is hitting the three decent enough this year.

He could average 30 next year and still wouldn't be a lottery pick. Still the same height but now a year older.

He should and will go.
You have no way of knowing that definitively. I would guess Grant himself doesn't know the answer to that yet.

What? For one he won't play the two. Secondly he won't be undersized. I guess you don't watch the NBA. Plenty of 6'5 to 6'7 threes and fours.
He is strong and skilled. He will be fine.

Not sure he's 6'6". More like 6'5"

I'll take your word for it. We really could use some more kids in the league to help with recruiting. I'd love to see Admiral, Grant and Bone all make it.

He can improve is outside shooting to improve his draft stock. Not many 6'5" or even 6'6" guys in the NBA that can't drain 3's

I could be wrong, but I just don't see that kind of draft potential in him. I don't think he's quick or athletic enough to play and defend the 3, and the 2 and 4 are out of the question imo. I hope we are able to get some quality details and reporting from the upcoming combine, but I'm not holding my breath.

Okay, so here’s how the NBA works. Guys actually don’t really care about 3 point percentage that much because of small sample sizes. They actually look way more at touch around the rim and free throw shooting to gauge a guys ability to become an outside shooter. Grant is great at both.

Besides shooting isn’t the reason Grant isn’t a lottery pick, it’s because, as I said, he’s only 6’6 and isn’t a great leaper. And those two things aren’t gonna change his draft stock. Plus most seniors aren’t lottery picks anyways, teams want younger guys.

They said the same thing about Draymond. Grant could easily drop 15 pounds and get to 225. And improve his agility working out full time with NBA trainers and no school. The question is gonna be can he defend and he’s shown he can handle guards on switches.

Who are some NBA 4s with Grant's size? Sincere question, I can't think of any atm.
