Roster Changes

I selfishly hope you are right but early last year I was the first poster to mention I thought he was a 3 year guy and you along with many others scoffed at the notion. I think it's at least 50/50 now
I still scoff at it but we shall see, he has said himself he plans to come back for masters...he’s also smart enough that if he’s told I think you’re late 1st round that he very well could fall to 2nd round. I think it’s going to take being told he’s a sure fire mid-late 1st round pick for him to come out and I just don’t see that happening.

Rik Smits' son is transferring. He is 7'1. I wouldn't mind Tennessee taking a look at him, if he doesn't declare for the draft, which would be a poor idea.

Do you follow mock drafts? Or watch much NBA?

He is in the late teen early twenties in most mocks. He is as big as a bunch of 4s. And also I'm sure he is at least 6'6. NBA guys listed as 6'7 are his height or shorter. He is ok for today's NBA. 15 years ago he wouldn't have had a chance though.

The draft guys think if you hit fts you can be taught to shoot. That isn't a factor.
Charles Barkley is laughing at you.

I can tell you right now that he would be more productive than Zach Kent will ever be.
well thankfully he declared for the draft so we will never know.

The Zionsville native enjoyed a breakout 2019 season. His 12.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and one block per-game averages were all career highs

Sorry not impressed with a goofy looking 7'1" guy that averaged under 6 rebounds at Valparaiso in the MVC. I guarantee you Kent could put up those numbers at least given those minutes. And look less goofy doing it

Athletic just released a new mock draft today that had Grant going #25

Seems about where most are thinking, definitely see more mid-late 20’s projections than projections in the teens.

Either way, seems likely he will go in the first if he comes out. Also I never said teens, I said 20-30

NBA Mock Drafts 2019 - Basketball Draft Projections lol He is listed in most mock drafts. With a big tourney he is gone. There are going to be a lot of shocked for no reason fans if he has a good run.

Don't see it. Most of Grant's production is down low with spin moves or power moves to the rim with his back to the basket-- he won't be able to do that in the NBA with 6'11" forwards. He should come back next year and work on his perimeter game, develop a cross-over dribble and step back 3. There are just no 6'5" guys playing the 4-spot in the NBA. Draymon Green is the closest analogy, but he's 6'7", has the wingspan of a B-747, and is much quicker.

I feel like that could go either way, Khyri Thomas & Gary Trent Jr. were 2 guys projected late 1st who went into the 2nd round. I don’t think anything is close to being decided at this point, Williams will go through the process as he should and if he receives a guaranteed 1st round grade I’m sure he’ll go, but if he’s told 25-35 range he may have something to think about.

Crazy how many NBA draft experts we have in this thread considering how many posts I see saying they don’t watch the NBA 🙄🙄🙄

His projection could go up and it could go down. He will most definitely go through the process. I’m just telling people what mock drafts are currently saying. I think he’s going in the first and leaving school based on the current mock drafts. A good tournament will also help.

BTW Erik Ainge said today he’s been told Grant will be a first round pick most likely and probably knows since his uncle runs the Celtics front office.

Pj Tucker, Jae Crowder, Dray and Grant are the same height. Listed at 6'7 with shoes. There are several more.

I think Bowden, Turner and Williams all return next season and one addition I would like to see is Ques Glover come in as a walk on for a season. Any chance of that happening?

Tennvol72,I think that both will stay. That being said,I feel that Grant 's game is alot like Sir Charles, not that tall, but works hard for positioning, with mpves and quick spins for down low shots.Bone will stay to enhance his ball skills and that I think there are several good point guards this year. Also,I'm selfish for our Vols.

Hopefully you're wrong and GW comes back for the 2019-2020 season. Without him in 2019-2020 I think Tennessee wins 18-21 games.

I've hard similar post but for me I am
Changing me tune now. I hope like heck Grant Williams leaves and is a 1st rounder.
The kid deserves it and at least for me he's given us enough joy that we can have his best interest in mind

Atlanta has 4 picks in the draft and I would enjoy seeing Schofield play with Collins and Young......... Right now, he is being selected by New Orleans in the second round at 44.
