JG helping out Shrout

Brady and Aaron Rodgers aren't team leaders? They have never helped the backup qb.
It's on Shrout to get extra work in.

Look, this is simple. I'm hoping for the best for JG and I think this will be a better team if he fully develops his leadership skills. If you can't see that let's just agree you are wrong. ;)

The most amazing aspect of the JG Experience is the tremendous amount of fan passion that exists both for and against a player who is absolutely devoid of intrigue. Who cares if he "helps" or "teaches" other players? Nothing gained or lost.

The quote implies that when he is doing extra work for himself personally he asked JG to go to help his development.

Why would JG ask Shrout to do work for Shrout?

Is personal development film study for Shrout to learn. Why would JG suggest that?

He already has his own film study sessions.

"I think he’s grown,” Guarantano said. “He’s grown physically and mentally, and every single day he’s asking me to get in the film room with him. He’s taken a lot of big steps.”

Whatever, it seems to me Shrout is asking JG to spend more time in the film room.

I care if he helps and teaches. Do you care about anything at all as far as Football is concerned?

JG is already there. Hence Shrout JOINING him. Why should JG make Shrout do extra work for Shrout?
Buddy I like JG as much as the next guy (maybe not as much as you) but to say he's a top level QB is definitely not true in no way shape or form. I appreciate everything he does giving everything he has for Tennessee, but it is what it is and he's not top level. I will agree with you he was better this past season and there's a good chance he'll be even better this upcoming season especially with Chaney back but we'll see. Go Vols!!

With him. When he does his personal film study to get better.

You don't ask someone to HELP you with film when they don't study film. It is clearly about JG HELPING Shrout with Shrout's individual, personal film study.

"Every day he's asking me to GET IN the film room with him"

Shrout can't tell him to get in the film room unless he was out of the film room. Why would Shrout tell JG to get in the film room if he was already in there?

Obviously JG doesn't spend much time in the film room and Shrout is already being a leader and telling JG to get in the film room so they can learn more together.

Except for the fact he threw more passes in the second half. 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
JG did not score for the first quarter and halfway thru the second when he was sacked and fumbled. Chryst came in and took the team down the field to score twice in the second half of the second quarter. Was responding to someone who said Chryst knew but often failed in execution. In the game against Alabama, Chryst was the qb who knew and executed. Everyone knows what Pruitt told the team at halftime.

Some don't really hate him, they've made it clear they don't want to see him get hurt or anything bad happen to him, they just want someone else to be better at the QB position so we can move on from the JG era. IMO that's the same as hoping he fails, but obviously my opinion is wrong.

Well Behr you're always wrong so what else is new? jk my friend

How one young Vols QB is impressing Jarrett Guarantano

Great to see our starter helping the potential back up.

Great leadership and great to see Shrout improving. He may be needed at some point this year
I do respect your opinion about the starter and how much you have a man-crush on JG, but when the back has to get your “so-called starter” in the film room to show him stuff, then he isn’t much of a leader. I’m sure you’ll have an argument for that. Sounds to me like the backup is more of a leader than JG.

Huh? It doesn't imply at all that Shrout was trying to get JG into the film room so he could teach him. Sounded like Shrout just asked JG if he would help him study some film. Its crazy how some people try to find something in all that.

Call bull on the Rodgers part. He’s known as a good mentor ala Peyton with his backups. Maybe you have him confused with Favre? That was a well known story. Don’t know about Brady, but I’d side on the opposite of “never” with him also. Specially the number of backups that have moved on from the Patriots pretty well developed. JG seems more confident in his abilities than even his most militant supporters 😉. Sabotage is for the paranoid and weak.

Haha. Seriously, I mean come on.

Im not saying its a problem, but I too wish JG was asking Shrout to join him in the film room rather than the other way around. But, what just happened?
Narratives get spun by both sides. If they study together then I don’t care who wrote the invitations. It benefits both. Hopefully Maurer gets a rose too.

I agree, mostly.

Just trying to get you stirred up a bit. On a note here, I have been very critical of JG and his lack of progression. With that being said, when the Oline gets there crap together, that should help JG a lot. Then we will have a better understanding of just how good he is and I hope he proves me wrong.

So what did Pruitt say since you are in the locker room?

How did they quit passing when he had more attempts in the second half?

He got them when they were up big and unfocused. Second half on more attempts they shut him down.
