We beat Auburn and a good Kentucky team. Sometimes you see things the way you choose to see them. One could make the argument that those wins should give us some optimism. But NO, you choose to look at the lose. That's fine if that works for you, I'm just not going to throw in the towel over losing to Vandy, as disappointing as it was.
Oh you didnt miss my comments on Chaney....I ll take your word for it. It wasnt commented on nearly as much a game from 2 months ago so I may have missed it.
As to the other.
"but yeah excuse me if I need to see results on the field before claiming they turned a corner. Such a horrible person.."
For clarity.
I guess using " the one" tends to specify a single person...not a group. I know where I stand, dont need confirmation of approval from you...or anyone else. Why? There's more than 1 that fit in to both groups. No need to feel like your manning that hill alone.
I cant help you didnt comphrend the idea.
I have no real questions, I never have, except maybe why’d you leave your Zoner family, which I don’t expect an answer from.I honestly didn't know how else to respond.
What is it you really want to know? I feel I've answered all of your questions as best I could and will continue, but after I answer this question, you'll need to answer my question that got this conversation started, the question you answered "that's not an awful question", then then finished by asking me a question.
If I felt the need to direct that at a particular person I would have quoted them or named them in my post. The reason why I didnt is crystal.I guess using " the one" tends to specify a single person...not a group.
I know where I stand, dont need confirmation of approval from you...or anyone else.
Gotta start somewhere after 4-8 and 5-7 seasons. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Prepare thyself. No doubt. Likely a top 10 class, with two talented transfers. If you could include the transfers with your recruiting score, it would be more like top 7 or 8. No better class since Fulmer years, barring 2015 class. But these guys may actually be developed.
Not sure how much better a staff could possibly do in that situation.
Continuing to lose in recruiting isn't "starting somewhere." If UT is already behind in talent and now trailing almost half the conference in the 2019 class, that's cause for infuriation, not optimism. The last two games of the year showed the world that the current staff isn't going to be outcoaching many if any of its opponents. Reality.
I wasn't impressed with our coaching in Pruitt's first season. Not even a little, but I am impressed with the staff moves he has made and some of the recruiting success we have had. We definitely need to see some better coaching next year before I believe we've turned any corner.

As for your question, expressing and defending your opinions of Tennessee football is the purpose of this forum from my understanding. I think from our other forum encounters you know I don’t hold any grudges nor have ill will towards others based solely on opposite opinions. But this is a fun place to talk about our obsession with Tennessee athletics. I enjoy debating. It’s boring when others just repeat the same stuff over and over with no substance, but it’s nothing new. Doesn’t mean I won’t call people out for it.
When I attended UT in the 60s the Vols won the SEC football championship, SEC basketball championship, SEC track and field championship, SEC swimming championship, SEC Tennis Championship and they were good in baseball and golf. This was before womens varsity sports were introduced. Now we are middle of the road in most sports outside of this years men's basketball team. Hard to believe how far our athletic program has regressed.
Weve been doing good in recruiting for a while. Thats the point, if you enjoy it great. Some people, like myself need to see it translate to wins.
That's how I feel. Lots of offseason positives, but still not impressed with our schemes. Seem very resistant to trying something that appears to win a lot at other places with less talent. Where is the innovative offense, stunts, twists, etc on the DL? Seems very plain jane and just hoping to outtalent some of our schedule in the future.
Fair enough, but we cant deny the last cycle of good recruiting (2014-2015) took us to the brink of winning the East a couple times. Those were major turning points. If we actually took advantage of those situations, maybe recruiting sticks or even improves to elite level. But Butch botched them time and time again and recruiting fell off a cliff.
Similarly, Pruitt will have a great opportunity in 2020/21 to beat Oklahoma, win the East, etc. It will make or break us once again. Catapult recruiting or shoot ourselves in the foot and probably start all over again.
Pruitt is doing a great job with just about everything outside of game day but was very up and down on game days. Really the only strong performances were auburn and Kentucky. The schemes and questionable decisions in other games weren’t much better than butch to be honest. I’m hoping that Chaney will drastically improve the offense as both the play calling and execution were awful. I like that Pruitt said that Chaney’s strength is that he can adjust his schemes to the talent he has. Butch and Helton were not very flexible and were not creative.
