While I’d really like Briles, I personally don’t understand the hate on Fulmer here. He is hired to make educated decisions while keeping the integrity of Tennessee in tact. Many fans want integrity thrown out the window... like Ol Miss and Baylor did.

Win at all costs has set back coaches and schools.

What would you call our approach? It sure as heck isn’t “win at all costs” and we still suck. It might be time to try a new. I hope Phil can find someone who is as pure as the the driven snow so the zealots will be happy.

So if you bring up integrity and don’t blame Fulmer for rumored info you’re in fact a “zealot”?

When other coaches continue to turn us down and the AD is being run by the same person who hired said coach then who exactly should we be blamed? Is this still CBJ’s fault? What makes you think UT has been ran with any more integrity than the same people you criticize? I love the holier than thou crew who believes UT is out feeding the widows and the homeless while the other sinners are worshiping at the alter of football.

Numerous threads on this board (including this one) have turned into Troll Cafeteria...and they are lining up out the door to come in here and feast on the collective desperation of some of the fan base. Sad, and funny. Equal parts both.

We'll get an OC. Some will approve, some will not. And then we'll spend the next few weeks and several dozen new threads on "what if, why not, what happened, who else would we have taken, what will the new offense look like".

There. That's how it will go. All we're waiting on is a name. Maybe we can get a(nother) troll to drop in here and tell us how many consonants and vowels the new OC's last name has, so we can play "VN Hangman Scrabble".

Forget legalizing marijuana. Find a way to legally sell Xanax on VN. There's the mother lode.

Go Vols.

My point is by your calculations: 1) someone’s to blame 2) if you’re not with me then you’re “”holier then thou” 3 Rumors that fit your agenda are now facts.

I think it’s reasonable to assume we’ve interviewed multiple candidates at this point.

If we are on our 3rd or 4th pick that’s fine. We rarely if ever go for big name guys so missing on one is just back to picking a second tier guy like we normally do anyway.

I would love to hear your theories as to why coaches continue to turn us down search after search if it isn’t our administration’s fault. I guess you think the Clemson OC, Hugh Freeze, and Lindsey were all lying when the stated that UT reached out to them for the job. That Butch Jones and Dooley were even remotely near our top 5. That Tyndall and Warlick were great hires and the baseball and track programs probably needed to die anyway. We change AD’s but the same incompetence continues and yet it’s no one’s fault within the UT administration? I will hang up and listen.
