Saying the white girls were crazy about the black football players. That's not racists in saying it is discriminatory, but the press would love to add that to get back at TN over Schiano.

He didn't say the "black" football players though.

Edit: I do understand your point, though. I hate the way society is. They push racism with racism then tell you, you are racist because you point out that they are being racist. Best to just keep your head low and stay away from it all.

Since Ron didn't answer me I McGoogled his hunch quote, and now I need to Google Long OC. I worry about those results.
Ron you swing for the fences bro and I like it. Why do you think he'd leave after making a playoff appearance from arguably a more high profile school?

What about “do you like blonde women?” Or “do you like brown-eyed girls?”

The racial aspect makes me just as uncomfortable as the general concept of using women to recruit these kids, but I’m not sure I would call it racist. I also remember what it was like to be an 18-year-old boy, so maybe part of what makes this gross is just that it’s grown men (who ideally would be exemplary in their respect for women and a little less comfortable with pushing casual sex) saying this stuff. In any case, I wish that did not go on, but I imagine it’s pretty similar at UT.

At a certain point, maybe I’m just being paternalistic re: these college girls. After all, they’re big girls, and they can decide to be “available “ or not, I guess.

Anyone can be blonde, that's a matter of peroxide/bleach and fwiw, very few keep their blonde hair post-childhood. It's when you make it overtly racial that things get weird/uncomfortable. I'm not denying that young women are beautiful (I'm a proponent of the theory that damn near all of us are beautiful when we're young even though most of us don't know it -- that's the gift of youth) but Briles could've easily just said that Baylor had a lot of hot co-eds. It would still be using women as a lure and a tad over the line over respect but that's what 99 percent of us would've said. Instead, he chose to make it racial by citing white women.

That said, I agree with much of what you said.

I just said McClendon because Brice mentioned an unnamed SEC OC. And he's the most logical choice. However I don't think there is any SEC OC interested. But then again I don't have a site that charges $9.99 or any sources lol.
I have no idea. Was just telling him that that is the two I've read on here people were speculating on. Brice said on 104.5 today that it is not Dooley. I think he's just making up a list to have something to talk about although I hope OSUs OC is interested.

I'm not a lawyer, but my very layman's understanding was that "hearsay" is anything you're told outside of the court that is an attempt to use as evidence of something. McQueary claimed Tom Bradley told him at some point that it was Schiano. Bradley and Schiano both deny.

Whether it's legally hearsay is another question, but it certainly seems to be something based entirely on second-hand information (that the second-hand source disputes).

In my mind it was still enough to justify not hiring Schiano, but I can't possibly maintain that stance and also think it's okay to hire Briles no matter how innovative an offensive mind he is.

Tripped a memory trigger for me -- hearsay is an out of court statement offered for the truth of the matter asserted. That's a general rule, and just a start. Hearsay has multiple exceptions, fraught with arcane nuance, that can be argued forever.

Yeah, I hate how everything is always racists. I was just thinking it would be another weapon that could be used against us.

Of the secret OC guesses. Mine actually would be Chaney.

Kirby Smart announces new roles for James Coley, Jim Chaney on Georgia staff

Chaney, who had been the quarterbacks coach, is now the tight ends coach. Chaney retains the title of offensive coordinator, without the “co” in front of it, and remains the play-caller.

Georgia football lands 7 on All-SEC Coaches' teams, but no Jake Fromm
ATHENS — The No. 5-ranked Georgia football program placed three players on the All-SEC Coaches’ first team released on Tuesday, and four more on the second team.

But none of them were named Jake Fromm.

The Bulldogs’ quarterback led the SEC in completion percentage (68.4) and ranked third in the country in passing efficiency (175.8) behind Heisman Trophy finalists Kyler Murray and Tua Tagovailoa.
