Yeah, but if it's true they wouldn't take the good, SEC experienced, Bama beating Freeze because of his baggage how could they take him? Unless there was something else about the Freeze situation we don't know.
I was just speaking between the Briles/schiano part. I'm with you on the Briles/freeze part.

Not an insider but I feel like Yurcich is gaining some steam. I don't see Brown coming here. Could be wrong but I would think he'd rather stay put in a known environment and roll the dice to see what opens next year. I've read he was very very close to getting the Louisville job. I'm not the morality police but I can't see Briles in our program. I have a feeling the "unnamed SEC OC" will end up being McClendon. Just a hunch and we may never know. I can't see it being Chaney (although that would be awesome!) or Dooley. Off the top of my head I can't think of another SEC OC that it could possibly be besides MAYBE Dawson at Kentucky. And that's only if he thinks Stoops is going to try and parlay his recent success. But that would be way out of left field.
I agree on Yurcich. I have a feeling he could be a real shot in the arm for the offense and for Pruitt. Hopefully similar to what hiring Chad Morris at Clemson did to the trajectory of Dabo's coaching career.

I agree. In my opinion there isn't much to dislike. Although I'm sure we'll hear a few "he's unproven" and "he plays against Big 12 defenses". I'm definitely intrigued by him though.

Coach Friend is one of the BEST Oline coaches, not just in the College ranks but in football period.

There’s a reason why he’s paid what he’s paid, and gets the respect he gets across the country.

You can disagree and have your own opinion but to disrespect the mans coaching prowess and to not see him as one of the best is just WRONG.

The man knows his craft and knows it well.

He had one of the smallest Olines, just not in Power 5 but in Division 1 PERIOD. Dealt with Multiple injuries, lack of a Strength coach, bringing in a new blocking scheme, playing walk ons, his best player was lost to Blood Clots, playing kids that weren’t ready physically, I can go on and on.

I think we all have to start reassessing how we measure coaches like Pittman, Chaney, Shoop, Friend, and so many others. Hell we were bashing Monte Kiffin way back when. These dudes didn't loose their minds here, they got handed a deck of jokers.

Chaney? Come on, for real?
Well, there's a secret SEC OC. Rumors are he may not be content because of not being allowed to coach QBs this year. McClendon is the other guess. It's all a guess because Pruitt is not letting much info out at all.

I just said McClendon because Brice mentioned an unnamed SEC OC. And he's the most logical choice. However I don't think there is any SEC OC interested. But then again I don't have a site that charges $9.99 or any sources lol.

Cannot AGREE more. When the previous regimes didn’t do everything in their power to WIN, it hurts the program and the coaches that follow.

With what Friend had to deal with, we are LUCKY to have him. And the fact that he’s a great person as well.
