It’s not a crap roster...look at the average recruiting rankings for the classes that make up our current roster. I know we have lost a lot of those recruits over the years but we still have way more talent than Vandy.

I like the wrinkle plays cJP uses to try and get something going. He has one wrinkle play, the onsides. And they're good awful at that.

It's not that I don't have confidence in Pruitt and staff, I just don't have confidence that this abysmal team can ever learn to win again. Losing is way easier than winning.

Lol who said compete for the east? How about not sh$# the bed against vandy? We're seeing some familiar signs already as our last few coaches. We've got players quitting/low effort, team getting worse as season went along instead of better, then clearly being outcoached and outplayed by teams like Vanderbilt. This is what you get when you hire bargain bin coaches.

Its not Pruitt's fault. We do have 2 wins over top 25 teams. What makes me mad is that Dooley and Butch Jones got out recruited for WRs, QBs, and RBs by Vandy. Look at Vandy's WRs they catch the ball because they are good and they have a QB that knows where to throw it. Look at the teams that blew the Vols out this season. Will Greer, Jake Phrom, Tua, Drew Lock and now Vandys QB. I said all alone that no big time QB or WR was comming to Tennessee after they seen that silly Butch Jones offense. This is what Pruitt is going to have to fix. Alone with Depth on both sides of the ball. You can't do that in one recruiting period.

It is a crap roster. Recruiting rankings don’t mean **** if the players were never developed but still. Even with a crap roster, UT cannot lose, let alone get blown out by Vanderbilt

The lack of fire has been evident all year except a couple of games.

I don’t care what the hell he has to work with, there is no excuse for this. none.

They don’t look like they belong on the same field with Vandy. Like they are wasting Vandy’s time

My confidence in him taking THESE players and winning anything significant is pretty low. I am just hoping he can get some decent players here who actually WANT to WIN.

Only thing that gives me hope is that generally, the younger the player, the better they are. Hopefully, CJP can flush out the Butch dregs and coach up some younger talent to make a difference. Probably wont be in 2019 though.

THen again, some teams like Vandy, who has a SR QB this year, are likely to be back to being Vandy next year so who knows.?

I really don't think a lot of fans ever played Football and have very little knowledge of it. With that being said stop blaming the coaches for these players inability to compete every week. The mistakes these kids are making are taught at age 10 they are just not doing it.

I'd bet Tennessee didn't even recruit more than 5 of the Vandy players. They are more physical, more athletic, better football players and more determined than Tennessee tho.

No confidence in Pruitt, I predict he will be gone after two years based on his own decision, he will take a DC job in the NFL and make millions. This year they played 2.5 good games, the rest were trash. Helton is not very good, game prep is not very good, defense played well in spurts but even then they couldn't cover a drunk sloth on a wheel route......seriously this program is on its last legs. Dont care about the number of stars next to a recruits name, if you don't develop them then they mean nothing. We are the new Vandy, it is a fact...at least the bad Vandy teams of old did not quit.....

Damnit it is the head coaches fault that we don't beat a team like vandy. Not getting bama or uga is one thing. But we have so much more talent that vandy it's not even funny. We call this ultra conservative offensive game plan by throwing nothing down the field. And jg is absolutely terrible. Why not try someone else?

I have just as much confidence in Pruitt now as I did at the beginning of the season. I am very confident. Its just going to take him time. People can flame away, saying its excuses blah, blah, blah. This antiquated thinking that Vandy is a trash team needs to stop. This team took a playoff Notre Dame to the wire. This isnt the 90's anymore people, sorry to break it to you. The we are TN and we dont lose to Vandy is a joke. The only people who still stick to thay are just delusional Vol fans.

I want to say it's because we have the same team. I keep telling myself that.....it's not working as well anymore.
