Pruitt Confidence level?

I have no confidence in Pruitt after this game. I can understand getting blown out by Bama, Georgia, or even Florida. There is no excuse on this planet for getting dominated in this fashion by Candy.

The team didn't want to be there and had already mailed it in before the game started.

I just wish he showed more fire. He seems half asleep when he is interviewed. Hope he’s not like that in the locker room
He doesn’t have to inspire the fans. Winning does that. I don’t care how little energy he is on TV

Very Low. He gets three years before he is really judged but to this point if your confidence in him is high its based on pure blind faith. He hasnt shown very much at all. Thats fine if folks want to have blind faith in a guy for the sole purpose of being hired as.Tennessees coach.
Hope he has a top recruit ready to sign tomorrow..

This is a 26 senior vandy team that took Notre Dame to the end, next year we smash them with freshman and sophomores. I'll reserve judgement for Pruitt for 3-4 years, I think this staff is capable of evalutating and developing SEC talent unlike the previous staff.

Good argument bro!!

These coaches are the greatest in the land and any who dont see that arent true fans!!

I think he's inspired a bit of confidence, beating Auburn and whipping Kentucky with their current skill level is better than the doolster or butch did in their first years. But this team BADLY needs an offensive identity, and it needs to be more disciplined, and it needs to be more physical.

Well, 5-7 first season closed out with back to back embarrassing losses. Honestly makes me wonder how tf we beat Auburn and Kentucky. What do guys think of year 1?

I know the reasonable thing would say “he just doesn’t have the players yet.” And that is 100 true. But no UT coach should ever lose to Vandy, let alone get beat down by them. It’s honestly made me question him a lot. How do you be a competent coach and even let this happen?

I'll stick with CJP

Everyone on here once to blame the players brought in by Butch. Everyone wants to claim they quit on pruitt and aren't as talented. Does everyone honestly think we're not as talented as Vanderbilt?

Someone on here stated, the players can tell JP does not want to coach Tennessee and have quit on him. Maybe they're just tired of the poor coaching across-the-board. Nothing has worked, and what do they do, nothing. They didn't change a single thing or alter their approach in any way. Same offensive play calls.

This is definitely the worst we've played all season.

We've had plenty of bad games, but a lot of our issues in previous games involved some combination of lack of players on the O-line, lack of depth, inexperience, poor execution, etc, etc, etc. Feel like Vandy's OC is absolutely destroying Pruitt right now.

Just one game and it's just Year 1 (and I've said it a million times ... don't judge coaches based on Y1), but this one is ugly.

Don’t you even dare. Vanderbilt is Vanderbilt. Period. This is a terrible and embarrassing loss.

I’m sorry, but this just isn’t true anymore. They have been in every game. I hate Vandy almost as much as Florida but they are well coached and senior-filled. Next year, will be different. Every 3-4 years tbey could win 7-8 games and this was that year. They and Ky will suck next year, IMO.
It’s embarraisng because Butches boys quit tonight and Helton called a horrible game. But the lack of player development and S&C’ing over the past 5 years is playing out right in front of us.

I like the wrinkle plays cJP uses to try and get something going. He has one wrinkle play, the insides. And they're good awful at that.

Nope, UT will be playing a ton of freshmen on both lines...

Paint it how you want. These were two 5,-6 teams with comparable talent and a 3.5 point line. One best the piss out of the other.
Mason had his boys ready to play and Pruitt did not. Pretty much that simple.
