Pretty sure it has worked out for other coaches - Mike Leach is one example.Serious question. Did Butch Jones actually play football at any point in his life? Did he play in high school?
I remember seeing the band pics and all that, and most kids can't play football and be in the marching band because the band performs during football games.
Anyway, no experience playing would explain why he wasn't a good on-field coach and just walked around with a microphone during practice instead of coaching any technique.
