Maybe not. I was at a wedding out of state and just had a fellow friend and fan tell me what he said last night. I looked it up to verify (other than Rucker). I just thought it was something he could have left alone. It was obviously on his mind.

I agree it probably wasn’t the best thing to say, I’m just not letting my jimmies get rustled over it.

So Knox news used this pic to show the crowd at the game? LOL Knoxville media is so sad.

They also showed another one from Pregame or from late in the 4th to prove that 65k was overinflated and it was more like 40k.

I was there the entire time and it was easily 60-65k and a fun environment. I sat in two sections (I love XX btw) and in both places there was a lot of positive comments about CJPs on field coaching.

Screw Local media. I personally want homers in the local media!!!

Good grief.

Most meddlesome boosters in cfb.
Lack of commitment to winning by AD (pre Fulmer)
Constant jabs by the national guys
And our local media.

It's not a surprise we had a revolt by this fanbase, it's a damn surprise that it didn't happen sooner.

Agree. Lower bowl was almost completely full. Easily 60k+. My family and I had a blast. The pregame activities for the kids was A+ as well. No complaints here. Screw the local jackass media.

Well, since that was in indicative of how the whole stadium looked, I'd say that is very responsible journalism.

We chose under the deck and by kickoff, we had more than what the seats were supposed to hold.
Plus a ton more crouched down on the shady terrace railing. It was feeling a little hot for many, out in the sun.

No idea what the actual number was but it definitely wasn't the "20,000 less" those jack-asses are pushing.

Presdicting Healthy offensive Opening Fall 2ish Deep:

QB: JG/Chryst
RB: Chandler/Coleman/Banks/London
FB: Blakely
OWR: Calloway/Jennings
Slot: Johnson/Palmer/Williams
TE: Wood/Warren Pope

*Pick your best OL combo* with Smith and Hall healthy.

I can live with that.
Highly doubt Coleman is our #2 back this season. Not sure why you’re so high on him.

Warren’s gotta put on some serious weight to make a move that big.

Ridiculous. Considering who owns KNS, not surprising. Like nobody could tell there were 60K+ there through several other media sources plus fans that went.

Wes Rucker

Rucker has a douchey personality, but is basically a fair reporter who gives decent insight.

Hyams and Pennington are old cranky douchebags who’ve been doing bad work for a while now. From Hyams dropping the story about Hurd’s mom, to the calhoun’s fiasco, to Brohm, now making such a big deal out of fan numbers (that are always inflated) at the game (AND trying to make it about media access).

I keep seeing in the rumor mill that as many as 10 players could be leaving in May following the semester. Welcome to the wonderful world of Vols' football.

Wouldn't suprise me if it's a big number. After his first spring at UGA he cleaned house on defense particularly the secondary with a few guys like Shaw Wiggins told it was best they move on because they were bad for the future. Pruitt thought he was a cancer and bad influence. Boy was he right

Just rough math.

The stadium seat 100,000.
Lower bowl seats more than upper bowl, so we can say 60,000 lower and 40,000 upper.

Lower bowl was packed for 60,000.
Upper bowl was not packed but was well populated. 1/8 full would put the total at 65,000. That is not far fetched at all IMO. Why is our media such douche canoes?

Lower decks were completely full, upper deck in chairs and facing jumbo tron had a decent number of people. We weren't GA or Bama, but we also had a lousy season and definitely didn't play for an NC. Third in attendance SEC is pretty good.

Edit there were reserve seats for the players families around middle of field, and they weren't all the way full.
