I do wonder how many players aren't going to be able to adapt to the culture change and play with the fire and intensity the new staff expects. It's only been a few months so you have to believe more will come around, but the coaches are clearly fed up with some of them.
I keep seeing in the rumor mill that as many as 10 players could be leaving in May following the semester. Welcome to the wonderful world of Vols' football.
Theres going to be a lot of spots taken come fall so its really not surprising. Think about it like this.
-Kirkland, Bituli, and Jennings are gonna take someones spot based on health alone.
-Chryst is either gonna be QB1 or QB2 so Someone will leave.
-Some of the grad transfers will take spots so we could lose RB, CB, K.
-JJ Peterson is going to play early and often so hes going to be taking a spot.
If health permits, to add a few more names, hopefully Chance Hall and Trey Smith will be full go. And maybe Jahmir Johnson pushes for pt on the OL.
Dominick woods Anderson will potentially make a push at TE.
Im not sure what they will do with TKjr. He doesn't have the speed to play S in the sec imo.
If everyone mentioned is ready this fall this will potentially be a totally different looking team....hopefully for the better
Maybe you and I have different definitions for what a dork is lol
At the end of the day these guys are coaching amateurs who play a game.
Lets not pretend like theyre deconstructing an atomic bomb destined to blow in 15 seconds.
We can have a little fun - guys like Saban and Pruitt who act like theyre getting root canals when asked softball questions by the media are just as dorky as the guys who act like everything is rainbows and butterflies.

One thing I think that has contributed to the Vols predicament is that we wait too long to get rid of coaches. Dooley was fired one year too late. He wanted out the prior year and Hart wouldn't ponie up with the buyout. Butch wanted out after the 2016 season and nobody wanted him and we weren't paying his buyout either. Neither was fully invested in the program their last years. Should have parted ways with them a year earlier. If a coach isn't in 100%, it's a recipe for disaster. Our AD has written the book on what not to do.
