Playing their best hockey to end the year. Cant wait for the playoffs.
Am I gonna have to become a Hockey fan? Gotta be better than Basketball... am I right?
Always did enjoy going to Ice Bears games, though I had no idea what was going on. Think we used to go on Tuesdays. Might have been fight night. Good times.
So in other words, the old staff was all about the early commits to gain momentum, but this one is being selective. Which translates to people needing to sack up and be patient.
Evan Berry responding in his own words with what BrB and I have been saying for years on here. It's always better to play guys in positions that are natural to them that they like to play. Evan ran effortlessly with the ball in his hands. He has good hands and sees the field extremely well. Only doofuses such as Butch would make him play back-up safety. Same with forcing Coleman Thomas to play OT as a freshman, Byrd to play slot, Gaulden to play NB, etc. When you do that stuff you are messing with a guy's life and career. It's no wonder he played the wrong guys when he had better players sitting on the bench. He didn't know any better.
That would be awesome.
Need to get Chance Hall back for August camp too.
For Kendrick to still have 10 pounds of muscle to gain in such a short time after HS and 4 years in a college S&C program is sadly comical.
Its phenomenal how bad our S&C has been... almost as if intentionally bad

Retrospectively, I think it was about control with cbj. He wanted it his way regardless. Didnt matter that the team would have been better if those players you listed were put at their natural positions or kept on the bench; as long as he made the decision...
Didnt matter if games were lost as long as he was in charge.
I thought I read something about him losing a bunch of weight due to being sick this winter and having to gain some back. Doesn't change yer point really. S&C was still sad.
100% agree. Big time micro manager. The job was way above his abilities, some of us just hoped he would grow into it. Another panic hire UT made. Just like Hamilton before Hart did not properly vet the guy, just had to get a coach in there because his job was in jeopardy. Then the big PR push begins and Mr. Brick by Brick happens.
The way Jones treated some players in the past was already out there and probably some of the other stuff as well. As fans we just ignore it all because we want to believe the best about "our" guy. He was obviously a system coach versus a real football coach and it would have come out in the interview if the AD knew what to ask and how to ask it. It never works out to rush a hire.
It may be a 180 degree pendulum swing too far the other direction with CJP, but I doubt it. Fulmer knows what it takes and I am sure he learned from his mistakes. Personally, I'm glad we know less about what it going on. Tells me they are more focused on the task at hand instead of slogans and sales of a CMU type system working in the SEC.
Which is why I was so against Schiano. Heres a guy with numerous media reports of harsh treatment with players and media, but Bahama John still almost hired the guy.
Now Pruitt isnt without a negative media story, but at least hes well respected by his players and peers. In fact, hes beloved.

If true, that alters my point entirely. Rebounding muscle memory is a whole different thing from developing new muscle
S&C was still trash though
