14-0-1 in their last 15 games
Preds haven’t lost in regulation since Jan. 2nd
Pekka is 21-1-1 in last 23 starts

Playing their best hockey to end the year. Can’t wait for the playoffs.

Am I gonna have to become a Hockey fan? Gotta be better than Basketball... am I right?

Always did enjoy going to Ice Bears games, though I had no idea what was going on. Think we used to go on Tuesdays. Might have been fight night. Good times.

Make an effort to watch the playoffs this year, which start in a month or so, and I promise you will start to get hooked. Playoff Hockey is intense.

As for the Ice Bears, those were fun games to watch lol. Beer was cheap and the fights were a plenty.

So in other words, the old staff was all about the early commits to gain momentum, but this one is being selective. Which translates to people needing to sack up and be patient.

I don’t know who he will pull but he can’t miss this year. Everyone can’t be a Bama 5 Star level guy. But they can have Bama level talent and be a take as a 3 star. I’m just waiting to see who he truly pulls because they are in on quite a few good players

Mike Griffith reported that Evan Berry was out much of the year last year because of a broken hand. Kelly ran a 4.5 and 4.65 40yd dash. 8 minutes of Pro Day info. SAIP.

Evan Berry responding in his own words with what BrB and I have been saying for years on here. It's always better to play guys in positions that are natural to them that they like to play. Evan ran effortlessly with the ball in his hands. He has good hands and sees the field extremely well. Only doofuses such as Butch would make him play back-up safety. Same with forcing Coleman Thomas to play OT as a freshman, Byrd to play slot, Gaulden to play NB, etc. When you do that stuff you are messing with a guy's life and career. It's no wonder he played the wrong guys when he had better players sitting on the bench. He didn't know any better.

Retrospectively, I think it was about control with cbj. He wanted it his way regardless. Didn’t matter that the team would have been better if those players you listed were put at their natural positions or kept on the bench; as long as he made the decision...
Didn’t matter if games were lost as long as he was in charge.

For Kendrick to still have 10 pounds of muscle to gain in such a short time after HS and 4 years in a college S&C program is sadly comical.

It’s phenomenal how bad our S&C has been... almost as if intentionally bad

That would be awesome.
Need to get Chance Hall back for August camp too.

Need to let Chance Hall’s knee(s) fully heal before even considering him. No doubt that he was released too early in the past. One game/one season isn’t important enough to ruin a player’s knee, shoulder, etc. Their future is not worth that.
Jmo, medically, as a fan, and as a Father...
:hi:

I thought I read something about him losing a bunch of weight due to being sick this winter and having to gain some back. Doesn't change yer point really. S&C was still sad.

To be honest, this makes me highly upset. The lack of weightroom development can only be seen as negligence by our last HC. You should never hire a band geek to run your football program.

Apparently working out was optional.

100% agree. Big time micro manager. The job was way above his abilities, some of us just hoped he would grow into it. Another panic hire UT made. Just like Hamilton before Hart did not properly vet the guy, just had to get a coach in there because his job was in jeopardy. Then the big PR push begins and Mr. Brick by Brick happens.

The way Jones treated some players in the past was already out there and probably some of the other stuff as well. As fans we just ignore it all because we want to believe the best about "our" guy. He was obviously a system coach versus a real football coach and it would have come out in the interview if the AD knew what to ask and how to ask it. It never works out to rush a hire.

It may be a 180 degree pendulum swing too far the other direction with CJP, but I doubt it. Fulmer knows what it takes and I am sure he learned from his mistakes. Personally, I'm glad we know less about what it going on. Tells me they are more focused on the task at hand instead of slogans and sales of a CMU type system working in the SEC.

If true, that alters my point entirely. Rebounding muscle memory is a whole different thing from developing new muscle

S&C was still trash though

Which is why I was so against Schiano. Here’s a guy with numerous media reports of harsh treatment with players and media, but Bahama John still almost hired the guy.

Now Pruitt isn’t without a negative media story, but at least he’s well respected by his players and peers. In fact, he’s beloved.

This isn’t new info but I talked to a guy this morning that said Jack Jones hated butch. He hated the differences butch made in how he treated certain players. I’m sure that was a common feeling throughout the locker room.

Kendrick said he lost 25lbs of fat and gained 10lbs of muscle while getting ready for pro day.

Off topic.... speaking of muscle memory, how much muscle weight do you think it’s possible to gain in two weeks for someone that’s 6’4” around 300, that used to bench 455 max, hasn’t worked out in about 7 years and just started back? I’m trying to lose weight but when I started back lifting my weight loss stalled out big time.
