Anybody that is watching the Okie/Dog game.....is it me or is Chris Fowler campaigning to be Mayfield's new girl friend? I understand hyping the guy, but Fowler is bringing it to a new level.

It could be a doghouse issue. That said one of our new coaches put forth to the public "you're either with us or against us" and did not get a reprimand as far as anyone has heard so I like Gauldin's chances of being ok. Pruitt is a hired gun, he eats because he wins where he finds his moccasins, I'm ok with the guy, I think he understands he works like $#ll for whoever is cutting his check. Regarding class by Gauldin, it was classless and I don't suggest he win the golden boy Jack Armstrong high class award. I do suggest I want a kid that has a BAD attitude on my defense, you know the kind where they give the Sportsman Trophy to the losing team and he's the kind of kid that tells those awarding it to keep the %$#@ing thing.

The Oakland Raiders and the U in their heydeys clearly demonstrated the two are not necessarily congruent. I'd prefer WINNING and BEING CLASSY. How has it hurt us as a team? Oh yeah, I guess the SEC teams winning on New Year's day brought us Dooley and Butch. It has no effect on us as a team except that when we win the conference we have won something. Wasn't that long ago that winning the ACC was a joke. Maybe we should move there so when Dabo goes to Bama we only have to beat Miami.

And you get upset when you get abused by other teams....aka the reason for another thread on the forum right now.

I tend to not throw rocks until I can whip it out and win the contest.

Both the Bummers and the dogs can get bent. I am rooting for OU and Clemson this weekend.

Of course, I’m not above hoping that Bummer loses 6-7 so that our new HC’s defense does well and he gets a boost. However, I do not pull for any other SEC teams. It doesn’t help us. At all.

How have we been hurt? We have had great recruiting classes the last 4 years. How has UT been oppressed by the SEC excelling at the national level. I'm not being a smartass, I am simply asking what does TN need to get back to prominence? A weak sister conference where we beat everyone and then get our shorts blown off? You make NO sense whatsoever. Stop calling me names like a girl and show me exactly where any UT fan pulling for their conference to do well in the post season has had ANY effect on where we are today. The season is done. Why the heck are you even in the FF? UT is sitting at home, why do you care what the rest of us do other to hang to call names and be derisive? We aren't in the post season because we sucked. Moron, we would be out of the playoffs quicker than grease through a goose. Any time your conference wins bowl games, especially on New Years Day, it benefits all the teams in terms of respect come playoff selection time, TV contracts, etc. Don’t expect you to understand though.

OSU lost 55-24 to Iowa. However, in my opinion you should have to win your conference to get in. UCF won their conference and was undefeated. They should be playing Clemson tonight.

You ask have we had Great recruiting classes last 4 years, the answer is no we have had good to solid. Teams in playoffs and just outside it have had great classes.

I agree with your last statement except I don't mind seeing 2 very highly ranked and 3-4 in the top 15. We should have at least 25% - 33% of whatever ranking you are looking at.

For example do you think we compete for more recruits with Georgia or Oklahoma?
