So you are saying that recruits only want to play for SEC winners now? Make up your mind. Either they want to play for winners or they don't. I'm not taking about who we play as competition, I'm talking about who we recruit against. If you don't think Clemson winning another championship would be worse than Bama winning another one you are delusional.
Make up my mind?! I said top recruits want to play for winners. I said teams in the SEC are our main recruiting competition, so teams like Alabama, Georgia, Florida etc having great teams hurts us.
How would Clemson winning hurt us more than Alabama winning? When I said Clemson is now a threat recruiting wise, is because until Dabo got that program going, they were nothing!!!
Clemson will eventually fade away, but teams like Alabama, Florida, Georgia decade after decade will be our biggest concern. Yes, it would be ideal if teams outside our conference but still near Tennessee such as Clemson were down, but start with teams in conference.
IF HAVING A GOOD CONFERENCE HELPED EVERYBODY WHY DOES VANDERBILT, KENTUCKY, OLE MISS etc never win the SEC? No, it's 99.9% of time Alabama, Auburn, or LSU representing the west and Florida, Tennessee, Georgia from the east. That's even before Saban got there and were not good, even then Miss. St. and Arkansas only got in a time or two.
