Fox sports Knoxville has Houston Kress and the drive (VN on the radio) as their main shows. It's not a reliable source

However, I believe the TFP article came out in 2012 after Gruden decided to turn us down.

As we have discussed in here before, I don't remember a whole lot of media coverage while the offer was out there.

Again, Hargis tweeted in October that he was keeping his mouth shut if he knew anything.

In 2012, Jason La Canfora mentioned it on The NFL on CBS. That was as real as it ever got for me.

Or the Paul Finebaum school of talk radio/TV: find what stirs the fanbase the most, hint or make a statement about it, and Boom! Instant ratings.

The Hargis piece was part of the Grumors for about 3 hours before the whole thing came to a crashing halt.

Right. Rumors and innuendo are their specialty. Hearing it from them is expected.

Cowherd and even Swain talking about it means more.

Larry saying we are pursuing him means more than any of that though IMO.

Jon Reed is a thing because he made shirtless videos of himself yelling in a cow pasture.

1340 could tell me water was wet and I wouldn't believe it.

Things didn’t go beyond rumor status until Dooley was let go if I recall.

If things are progressing as the rumors say, as soon as butch is out gruden will be announced.

I Just hope whoever the next guy is, people understand they can succeed here and we don’t hamstring them because they’re not gruden

A true frosh stepped in at LT with the season nearly over and looked like he'd been there for at least a year. You have to take into the account the opponent but to me it was impressive.

I hope that is the case as well. I would think that Currie would have publicly made a decision on Butch if he hadn't made some progress with a new coach, but that is just my thinking.
