Sure upsets happen but the new coach at Tenn better be able to outcoach a few teams or we are going to start every year with at least 2 automatic losses.

Not disagreeing, but you seemed to imply that Frost should have won all of his games because he has superior talent.

Simply isn't true. Haynesworth was on Fox Sports Knoxville where he indicated that Haslam was the man and he trusted Haslam to make a great hire.

Today, said the big money guys have stepped up and that they refused to allow one man to make the hire like last time. These are contradictory statements. If Haynesworth was Swain's source, then they would be saying the same thing. They are not.

Those two statements could technically still be true. Haslem still has most pull right now but the other big money guys are throwing there money/2 cents around as well because they refuse to only let Haslem make the decisions. Remember, LWS said the boosters are all rowing in the same direction.

Ok assuming some of these are gonna be fired...which retread would you be most ok with. (Have to pick)

-McElwain
-Sumlin
-Belima
-Jim mora
-Mike Riley
-Fedora
-Freese

Sumlin or Fedora. I know UNC owes Fedora a massive buyout, plus didn't he turn us down last time. I remember lots of the non-Gruden talk was Fedora or Strong.

Edit: Also, Swain did not say that Gruden was coming. He simply said that big money boosters have stepped up and are taking their best shot at hiring Gruden. That's all. He did not say he was coming.

Also said that two big time power 5 coaches have reached out to UT, one directly, one indirectly, with interest in the job. Either would be a home run for TN he said.

Alright folks, who you think the two coaches are?

You lost me Bass. Nobody disputed anything you mentioned.

I would add their "de-recruitment" work is other worldly. Granted, it helps pretty much every player knows what they're signing up for there at this point, but its still impressive.

That's something UT really has to handle better with the next staff.

Absolutely. Bama does not have too many pre-madonnas after the first couple weeks of camp.

If Swain is right, we are about to knock this hire out of the park. It very well may be Gruden. But if not, according to him, big money backers are going to hire someone great and at least two coaches have reached out who will be massive hires he said.

"Strong effort to put TN in position to win now."

Not sure why but I just got a bad feeling that we are going to end up trotting out Coach McGoogleme. Get this feeling that when we do, Currie will say we pursued many homeruns who ended up not being as interested as they initially expressed, but felt they ended up with the best candidate in Coach McGoogleme.

Just curious. Do y'all think Richmond will move inside with Trey Smith moving to tackle? Or will one slide out to RT? Also, wasn't Richmond projected as a guard outta HS?

This fanbase would melt if it was Mike Houston lol

Empty words. Trying isn't good enough this time.

Currie has spent all of his goodwill to keep Butch on to the end of the season and hire on his own timeline. If he doesn't make a splash, it's going to look like incompetence.

Freeze is the best coach, but I wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole.
