Deerpark has always come off as condescending. When the switch from Adidas to Nike rumors began to be discussed, almost a year prior, he took such a hard line stance that he came off biased, as if he had a personal stake in it.

I don't doubt that he has insight to the inner workings of the AD but I've never trusted his info.

He admitted that he doesn't work for the AD and doesn't even live in Knoxville anymore. Not sure how he would know what is going on or what Currie is doing unless he still has someone who communicates with him.

He didn’t bold until. So unless he missed it I don’t think I misread it. Sorry if so.

I member the Adidas to Mike fiasco and his insistent, it aint happening stance...

Ok assuming some of these are gonna be fired...which retread would you be most ok with. (Have to pick)

-McElwain
-Sumlin
-Belima
-Jim mora
-Mike Riley
-Fedora
-Freese

Practically none of them. Mora and Sumlin would be passable.

Sumlin then Fedora.

Freeze is the best coach but he's done for a while. Can't wrap my mind around him actually coaching next year.

I assume you mean Hugh Freeze? If he didn't come with the extra stuff, him. But since he does give me Sumlin

Ok so the Haslem part was false but what about the Hubbs saying Ergen is more active part? Anyone have a screenshot of that?

That would go against what deerpark said last night.

I will paraphrase and you can go look it up.

Basilio: I don't think Swain is misleading anyone. Swain was told Gruden has reached out to a former player and gauged interest with being on potential staff, that player told Haynesworth and then told Swain. Gruden has done this before in 2012 also

Simply isn't true. Haynesworth was on Fox Sports Knoxville where he indicated that Haslam was the man and he trusted Haslam to make a great hire.

Today, said the big money guys have stepped up and that they refused to allow one man to make the hire like last time. These are contradictory statements. If Haynesworth was Swain's source, then they would be saying the same thing. They are not.

Edit: Also, Swain did not say that Gruden was coming. He simply said that big money boosters have stepped up and are taking their best shot at hiring Gruden. That's all. He did not say he was coming.

Also said that two big time power 5 coaches have reached out to UT, one directly, one indirectly, with interest in the job. Either would be a home run for TN he said.
