I can tell you that seeing Cam on the sidelines his weekend he has probably lost about 10-15lbs and is a lot leaner than he was here. I thought he got a little too bulky. Maybe injuries played a part in that tho.

Has he played much this year?

Yup. That's the question to ask. Can he win the East?

If you can do that then you get a chance to win the conference which typically means a spot in the playoffs.

Talking about national championships when we haven't won the east in a decade and haven't won the conference in two decades is crazy.

^^^^This all day!

I have access to a couple of players/coaches that have helped me learn more and I have the time to study it. It's fun to do.

Example - Bama doesn't win based on scheme. Their scheme on O is really generic. Their D is a bit more sophisticated, but other programs run equally complex D's. Bama wins based on strong recruiting, development, internal competition for jobs, and on field discipline. If you do not get it done in the manner you are trained to do it, you will sit because there is an equally talented and driven guy dying to take your place. Saban is not a lover of the next best thing in plays and schemes to get it done. UGA is on the path to being the same way. Which is why Chaney and Pittman were so important. They know various methods of offense and can adapt it to the roster they have. The rest of the SEC is playing catch up. This is our opportunity to join them.

I would add their "de-recruitment" work is other worldly. Granted, it helps pretty much every player knows what they're signing up for there at this point, but its still impressive.

That's something UT really has to handle better with the next staff.

Not it isn't.

I don't want to hire Mark Richt. I don't want a coach who will win the east once every 3 years but never has a legitimate shot at a NC. I want to hire a guy who can come in here and give us hope of going to the playoff and beating Alabama. There is no reason to settle for a MacElwain type hire just because we haven't one the east. The east is the first step, but it isn't the goal.

I don't think anyone is saying we want a coach that will win the east every 3 years. We are saying it's a big leap from where we are go the playoffs. That's the expectations from our fan base that makes people laugh at us.

You have to win the games you should win regularly to win the east. You have to win the east to win the SEC. And you have to win the SEC to look for a playoff spot. I'm good with going one step at a time haha.

I get that, but what I'm saying is, I don't want to hire a coach who we believe his ceiling is the east. That's Les Miles or Mark Richt. I want us to go get a guy that we believe has NC potential.

That's why I asked for people's opinion regarding Mullen. If we don't believe that he has a shot to take us all the way, then we shouldn't hire him. I don't want a good coach, I want an elite coach. Kirby won the east in year 2. If that program continues on the trajectory it is currently on he will win a championship at Ga. I don't think anyone here would deny that. We need a guy who can do that, not just a good hire who will be here 10 years and win the east a couple times but never really challenge for the national championship. I'm just not excited about settling for good. I want to be great.

According to TOS, Mike Lombardi said after speaking with two NFL executives that Gruden is expected to return to the Bucs.

If Swain is right, we are about to knock this hire out of the park. It very well may be Gruden. But if not, according to him, big money backers are going to hire someone great and at least two coaches have reached out who will be massive hires he said.

If that Metamucil doesn't kick in in the next 24-48 hours, things could get REALLY interesting.

On TOS, Lws bolded a part that said that The Haslam family was no longer in charge. Poster asked Hubbs and he said Ergen was more active now. So who knows.
