Uh, no.

Gruden isn't Santa Claus. I stopped believing in things because I wanted them to be true when I was about 10.

The claims and reality are not lining up right now and I'm going to call it like I see it. I'm not trolling and I'm not trying to antagonize anyone. Just attempting to bring some rationale back to the thread because it all died about a week ago.

If that is a problem, feel free to put me on ignore.

There is an entire forum for you to line things up and yet you choose to come here and post where no one cares about your opinion on the matter. When you were 10 you stopped believing in Santa. So glad we know that about you. I don’t put people on ignore but I will politely ask you to GTFO. You may return to the happy place only when you board the Gruden train.

With that flurry of OVs in late November, it almost wouldn't surprise me if that was the relevant date. It is interesting that the recruits come for the last game of the season.

And, Taylor isn't coming until December 9, well after the season is over...

I just question why all the cloak and dagger stuff from the AD. Never have I seen anything like this before from any AD not just our's.

Most of the cloak and dagger stuff comes from posters trying to guess what he is doing.... The AD has a plan but he is simply not revealing it to anybody...

We are all simply trying to understand it.... I am willing to trust him until it all plays out and then make a judgment on the AD... he has some here a lot closer to him that I that have vouched for him and his integrity and thoroughness and then there is the LadyVol issue that buys him time with me... That is how I see it anyway

I believe pointing out insider information that doesn't match up with reality is not "trying to stir this stuff up".

I don't particularly care to hear anyone's opinion on this, and I don't use this thread as a random chat room.

If we stop caring whether any of the info is actually true, speculation gets posted as fact, and people run with it.

Then, those of us actually trying to deduct real information from what is posted here are unable to do that. Because the only things that get discussed are the things people want to hear.

I suggest you deal with and stop crying about it.

Mike Lombardi was quoted on that. He worked for Raiders while Gruden was there. Could be a friend putting pressure on someone to make a decision at UT. Just a theory, no evidence they are 'friends', etc. Just think it is interesting they were at Raiders at the same time.

yes saw that too...Gruden meter is bottoming out...If he was offered the Tamp Bay job why would he come to TN ?

I don't agree with him because deserved or not, I expect Saturday night's game the ugliest PR affair in the modern era of UT football. But I will give the man credit for sticking to his plan.

That or else there is no plan and Hyams is right and the UT football program of the 1920-2004 variety has ceased to exist. In which case all 26 threads are for naught as is VolNation in its entirety.

They were cancelled because they were afraid we would only have 40 to 60k in the stands, and that we stand a good chance of losing our homecoming game.

They may have to move up the timeline for letting Butch go based on all the unintended consequences.

It's not Saturday yet..I'll worry Saturday if he's on the sideline. Mainly for the players safety

If he's coaching on Saturday and we struggle or even lose, things could get very ugly. Not just inside the stadium either. The students on campus have been known to make a scene over a lot less. I really feel for the players though, I hope they won't have to endure this too much longer.
