You think he’s inept or has a plan...what you choose there dictates your feelings on the process.

It's not that I don't like it, I really want him to be gone, hell I thought he should've been publicly fired after the UGA game.

I just question why all the cloak and dagger stuff from the AD. Never have I seen anything like this before from any AD not just our's.

You haven't seen it that you're aware of. If it's done right you'd never know...especially if it wasn't at a program you follow closely.

I can only assume about the reasoning, and nobody wants to hear that. I have reasons to believe why, but nothing concrete about the time table. The only thing I have solid info on, and have said for weeks, is that the decision was made after Georgia.

By purposefully ignoring concussion symptoms. If they intentionally ignored what was happening and got him to "tough it out."

Idk seems like a pretty crazy thing to do when it would obviously found out eventually

Plus if he's been told he's gone, why risk his career and integrity with this?

I'd like to think Jones isn't that big of a moron but idk at this point.

I see we're trashing lawyers today...

Just kidding. You know what you call a bus full of lawyers driving off a cliff?

A good start.

In all seriousness, I don't see anything that has happened to change the analysis. No information has come up that indicates anything different than before. The BK stuff is interesting, but I can't imagine this is something the players behind the deal anticipated or planned on.

Could they be capitalizing on a fortunate circumstance? Perhaps. However, in my mind, the substance of the deal has nothing to do with BK or anything. Windfall, maybe. Plan, doubtful.

Everything that has been leaked by the trusted people is consistent with what is happening now. It was said very early in the process that Currie wanted to give Butch as much time as possible, and that he wanted to announce a fire and a hire at the same time. That timeline is still in play, and the recent events would not change those planned events.

If we are still waiting on all the ducks to be lined up, then its just a matter of time.

To an earlier posters comment (Preacher, maybe); yes, it is 100% possible that all the contracts signed are future effective. Meaning that they will go into effect on a future date. Could be the date that JG has agreed to terminate his ESPN contract or any other agreed upon date.

Thus, soon.

not me, can't take credit for that one i don't think.
but i like the content.

I do, I'm really curious about this, even if your theory is far fetched it's still better than nothing

Actually, we would like to hear your assumptions.

Have y'all already talked about Antone Davis turning in his resignation after 6 years. Hyams reported about an hour ago, Leonard Little & Swain exchanged comments but i can't tell exactly what they would like to say - beyond "SMH"

Nope. I've kept that stuff to myself throughout all if this. People tend to take that stuff as Gospel, even with a disclaimer.

Two things that stand out and I keep referring back to....

1) The comment "final game" by Jones in the Monday PC. You just don't say that unless it is a "final" something...

2) CBS Sports, SI, and other websites have reported this concussion issue...crickets from ESPN

This is just the kind of story ESPN would usually love to run on UT. If they continue to be silent, then that’s a pretty good indication they’ve been asked to hold off on it.

I orginally thought the time and LZ were locked for both events.

However, the unforeseen events relative to Butch have forced the decision makers to reevaluate the first, which may, or may not, affect the 2nd.

We are getting to see what kind of crisis management skills Currie has in his tool kit.

All this is JMO.

10-digit grid needs to be called in fast. Or a 9-line will be needed.

It's a really strange situation especially when you're on the outside looking in. We're not seeing all the angles here and it's frustrating. best thing we can do is sit tight and wait it out as much as it sucks

I do believe info you have received, that being said, Currie sure does seem to do everything he can to try and keep Butch. I believe the UTAD and academics dont wont to pay the buyout hence all this talk about a injured player and looking at Butch's contract.

Time will tell but the natives are restless.....

It's like someone running into a theater and yelling fire every 3 hrs around here

With that flurry of OVs in late November, it almost wouldn't surprise me if that was the relevant date. It is interesting that the recruits come for the last game of the season.

And, Taylor isn't coming until December 9, well after the season is over...
