How was Butch or anyone on the coaching staff able to violate the concussion protocol? I just don't see how it could have happened with all the safeguards in place.

You may be right, but I'm sure there are a lot of "insiders" who get a kick out getting everyone worked up. You have to admit reliable sources generally don't hide behind a screen name. Also, vague information many times is hard to prove or disprove.

I'm trying to figure out what exactly are you bringing to this thread?

Would CBJ burn a red shirt considering his future at UT is in great doubt and would have no concern for UT football's future at QB?

This blows my mind more than the whole non-recruiting issue!!!!! Makes me pretty made actually. He should be fired for cause if JG's helmet comes off during a play and he puts McBride in!!!!

Two things that stand out and I keep referring back to....

1) The comment "final game" by Jones in the Monday PC. You just don't say that unless it is a "final" something...

2) CBS Sports, SI, and other websites have reported this concussion issue...crickets from ESPN

If the BoT meeting itinerary posted a few days ago was correct and my memory serves me, the first big meeting is today at 3pm est. The other big meetings are tomorrow mid-morning and mid-afternoon. I expect to hear something either public or, more likely, insider related by Friday. I think the next 24 hours or so will decide a lot.

The new concussion news combined with an embarrassing turnout for homecoming could possibly speed up the timeline if these meetings go the way we want them to. Just my opinion.

I orginally thought the time and LZ were locked for both events.

However, the unforeseen events relative to Butch have forced the decision makers to reevaluate the first, which may, or may not, affect the 2nd.

We are getting to see what kind of crisis management skills Currie has in his tool kit.

More likely, Currie had the buyout agreed upon and prayed Butch wouldn't do something really dumb, based on past history, and make it through the next few games. Unfortunately, you can't overcome dumb...and Butch is a shining example.

IMO, whatever is going to happen in regards to a new coach will happen in time to positively impact our recruiting.

The fire Butch timeline appears to be fluid because of all the unforeseen events that have occurred from the Georgia game going forward. Again, JMO.

The fact that you guys are getting pissed at me for just trying to think about this logically should make you see where your state of mind is about this.

The easiest argument is to take the negative and scream untrue..... a better question is why don't you bring something to prove you are right rather than others are wrong?
