Empty Neyland Movement (#uncluttervolnation)

The fact that they have purchased tickets doesn't matter. They will still have lost revenue from the game from lost food sales and lost sales from the campus store that sell Jerseys, hats, Tshirts ect . Businesses in Knoxville will notice lost revenue especially on Cumberland Ave. It also shows that the fans are disappointed in the product which will hurt future ticket sales. Im an old guy and i have been around since the Dickey days and this is how it always goes down. 25000 to 30000 empty seats and Jones will be gone on Monday. If they have 95000 butts in the seats sat and Jones will sill be the coach for LSU . THat many people show up for the LSU game and Jones will be your coach next year.

Attendence was not likely going to be high before this embarrasment of a movement started.

Why does this movement bother you to the point of harassing those who demand better for the players and the program?

You don't have to be in this thread.

The UTAD should have free concessions. Since they have been taking advantage of fans they owe the fans......since it's not about being great again. Crooks

I'm sorry i have reached the point where i think they really are going to keep him. Not enough upgrade options and the feelers have not gone over well.

It's anyone who needs fans for $$$$ worse nightmare.
Fans united to cut off revenue.

Of course some hate that idea, because it could happen to them.

Uprising of people unified for change is a huge fear for people that make $$$ from the little people without a individual voice.

A strong collective scream is deafing to them.

Unless you are one of a handful of people, Currie can fire Jones (pay his buyout) and hire the next coach without your money.

I think he is curious like I am. Having a rational discussion is one thing, but attacking every post is another. If someone starts a "Fill Neyland and Support the Players" thread, I know i'm not going to be over there. Seems like you've got some deep rooted psychological issues with an organized support that goes against the status quo.

He lives amongst a bunch of stupid gumps and sees this as getting close to their level.

Did you expect everyone to support the idea you have hitched you wagon to?

Making a statement with your feet is Very American.
You get bad food or service at a restaurant, u stay away.
If those people who feel they have no other non violent or otherwise inappropriate way to show their displeasure with the current product at Neyland than to stay away, that is an appropriate way to do so.
I’d much rather them do this than to harass any of our players, coaches or their families in person or on social media.

or do you just go to different ones?

bad example unless you're out purchasing bama gear right now.

When you are being used as a pawn in a game in whicj you have no control, non participation is often the last remaining tool at one's disposal. See the civil disobedience of Ghandi or the secession of the plebians from Rome during the Struggle of the Orders. When tje game is rigged against you, simply stop playing.

yeah, those are comparable situations to this one. lol.

I don't like it. He's already a goner. Just be there for the team. Not trying to sound all altruistic here. I understand where the idea is coming from. But it's going to accomplish NOTHING and make us look like a whiny fanbase

Tennessee fans don't have to prove their loyalty chops to anyone. We've packed that joint for more crapshows than I can count over the past decade. If anything, we look like chumps for doing that.

If some dude in Montana flicks on the tube and Neyland is one third empty, he'll know things are truly off the rails in Knoxville.

Both have been right at times.

Exactly. No fan base has gotten less bang for their buck and loyalty than UT.
