Empty Neyland Movement (#uncluttervolnation)

Exactly.

If you don't want to go, don't go. Its not gonna force Currie to make a decision that has already been made.

the only way any of this stuff would make any sense at all is if CBJ was going to be retained and extended.

then i might get on board with cutting donations, not buying tix etc....but that isn't happening, so i'm not worried about it.

but for this year? literally makes no difference.

the funny thing is people were probably not gonna go to this game because it doesn't matter and we're having a bad season.

you really don't need a movement. fans are fickle enough w/out having to be told what to do.....lol.

Yep.

And I didn't have a problem if he had been fired after UGA if thats what Currie chose to do. His test is not firing Jones however. Hamilton and Hart were competent on that level.

So, you talk about butts in seats and donations, How many season tickets do you buy and where are they?

I only ask because like many other season ticket holders, you can express your feelings to the UTFund about not renewing if things stay the same. That has more weight than the money they already received. I say this because since having my tickets and not missing games has not stopped the AD from firing a coach.

I have 2 in Y10 and have for over 15 years, and other family members have 4 around me. I can tell you if they bring CBJ back, I will not donate and renew.

So how's that worked out so far.....assuming he's been focused all a long this season?

Poorly is how it has worked out so far.

But would you rather him get caught up in the noise and not prepare to his best ability for SM?

Now is not the time for them to work less than they have been. Now is the time to put on more steam during prep time. Maybe it will produce results on Saturday.

I trust the Vols will keep working.

Nice insight.

As in depth as the one I quoted.

I noticed your avi is of one of our possible options as a replacement. :good!:

Theoretically.
If JG verbally agreed to the job but didn't want to be named until the season was over and didn't want Jones fired until the season was over, do you tell him to "FO" I have a movement that demands change. And now!?

Tell who to FO? Butch or JG?

I maybe confused as to his point given his posts.

Shoop basically didn't run from the idea that there are problems that have consequences and anyone with sense can see them. Including the staff.

Seems 1707 was taking a shot at Shoop for being focused on SM and not getting all worked up over the staff's future past Saturday. Sounds like what gonna happen is gonna happen, so the thing to do now is get ready for Saturday's game.

EMPTY NEYLAND. They are stealing our money and do not care about us as fans and donors. Time to hit them where it hurts until they decide to take the football program serious and get us a competent coach....

That will mean more than how many butts are in the seats they already have the money for. As a fan, it goes with the territory, for good times and bad. I'm not calling you out or saying you are wrong but that is part of being a fan. People like to make fun of the Vandy fan base but the ones that still show up are fans and you have to respect them for their loyalty.

Lets add another team, South Carolina. Did the fans that stuck with the team through all the down years suck? You know they were not happy being bottom feeders but they were still there to support the team.

Some folks don't understand that an empty seat, whether paid for or not, impacts the UTAD. Horrible perception to have a sparsely attended Neyland on a nice weather evening in Knoxville. Not to mention the hit they take on concessions and merchandise sales. Those that think this have clearly never run a for-profit business. It matters! Outside perception, whether it be to future recruits or future college admissions, is a key ingredient to a program's success.

I took it that the bold meant he was trying to instill some false hope that everything is "ok" because that idea.

Im coupling that response with several other ideas that have been posted as well.

It's not simply staying home because the team stinks. I've sat through many of sorry seasons. It's sending the message to the UTAD that inaction, and being tone deaf to the common fan, is not acceptable. And I live in SC. Their fans stuck through some awful seasons, but they also finally demanded action and voted with their pocketbooks.
