Charlottesville white nationalists riots

I must be missing something here, trump condemned more than Obama ever even thought about condemning. All the cry baby liberals are mad because the president wouldnt call out a certain group, well where was this out rage last summer when the BLMbwas burning down cities and shooting cops on a weekly basis?

Exactly. There wasn't even this much outrage when that guy killed those Dallas cops.

A woman who claims she took part in the toppling of the Confederate statue with a group of protesters in North Carolina has been arrested and is facing several charges.

It comes as the state's DEMOCRAT governor Roy Cooper said on Tuesday that he wants to bring down Confederate monuments around the state, thrusting himself into a debate stoked by violence in Virginia.

If dudes were out on the street corner peddling rocks the cops would be in the white neighborhood fighting the war on drugs numbnuts.

This has nothing to do with my point. In the hypothetical it's not every minority's fault that the neighborhood is bad, yet everybody suffers.

Let's be clear--this has all been started by Trump and Bannon and the little band of fascists in the White House. Trump used inflammatory rhetoric and lies throughout his campaign; he encouraged people at his campaign events to beat up protesters and ridiculed the media. He is a dangerous and disturbing man without an once of integrity.

You have enough integrity to make up for it.

are not even familiar with Antifa. As its name implies, it is a group that espouses an anti-fascist viewpoint--which would be a good thing. Why would we now have an anti-fascist group? Did it occur to your little brain to ask that question? Maybe it's because Trump and Bannon and their ilk of white supremacists have tried to take over the government, have encouraged right-wing neo-Nazi nonsense. Breitbart is a white supremacist website. So put 2 & 2 together in your head and figure out who the real bad guys are here. That would be the people who started all this bull$****--and that's not antifa--who lugnuts like you want to pretend are the problem. Neo-nazis and the KKK are hate groups--and so this is where it started. But you conservative blockheads want to pretend otherwise. You're such tools.

Uh...

Nah. Just giving Septic the business because his trolling SUX lately. It's not creative or sneaky. No real bait even. Dude's losing his touch.

The butthurt from the Nazi sympathizers here in the PF says different.

Anyway, your attempts at baiting me are falling flat. Back to the drawing board, try more personal insults (maybe those will gain traction this time. )

This pattern predates this administration by 50 plus years. The '60s were just as turbulent.

Your first sentence is a lie. No need to read beyond that.

It ALWAYS comes down to the individual.

Isn't it strange how Princes and Kings
and clowns that caper in sawdust rings,
and common folk like you and me
are builders for eternity.

To each is given a bag of tools
A shapeless mass, a book of rules.
And each must build 'ere time has flown
a stumbling block or a stepping stone.

I take offense to any liberal supporting antifa since they are anti-Semitic. In accordance with LG's license to commit violent acts against people whose views offend me, if all antifa supporters would meet me at the local Waffle House, this big Jew will give you a beat down of biblical proportions.

I don't buy Starbucks either.

Maxwell House and if I feel like splurging, I get the 8 O'Clock coffee.

Community Coffee and French Market to me are very good. You can make it strong and it's not bitter, and certainly doesn't taste burned like Starbucks. Don't know the price for the Community brand but French Market was very reasonable at Publix.

It's funny Armchair, given how plugged into American society that you are, that you've never heard of this group. Let me help you out. While their name suggests that they are anti-fascism they're actually not. They use fascist tactics to accomplish their goals. They've destroyed private property, lit parked cars on fire, smashed windows, shut down public transit, and attacking police. Hell even this past weekend they attacked a female reporter who was covering the events in Charlottesville. Antifa conflates speech with violence, believing that “offensive” rhetoric, “hate” speech, and micro-aggressions should be counteracted with macro-aggressions, or physical violence. They're anti-capitalist who's roots are grounded in Marxism.

very long--and I am not familiar with their goals other than to counter the fascists and white supremacists that have been enabled by Trump.

I repeat, this was all started by Trump and Bannon. And yet conservatives are always trying to create this moral equivalency between right-wing hate groups and BS and left-wing groups; they likewise like to pretend that Trump is no worse that Obama--complete and utter nonsense. I'm willing to bet that antifa is primarily focused on countering the white supremacists emboldened by Trump. There are other strains in this well--Confederate diehards who--in 2017!---still want to cling to the Lost Cause.

There is also an economic component to all this polariization and hostility--as there are a LOT of people on both ends of the political spectrum who have been hit hard by financial hardship--by crap jobs and low pay--and they are angry about it. Some of the voted for Trump--and some are Democrats. For all the caterwauling that conservatives do about socialism, most of which is nonsense, the real problem is that this country has been very badly served by capitalism. Income inequality creates the very social instability that we are seeing in this country--and income inequality has grown dramatically over the last 30 years. While conservative blockheads pretend that the poor are layabouts, the fact is there there are millions of people who work their tails off every day and yet make no money. Can you image living in America in 2017--a high cost country--and still millions are paid $10 an hour--and many even less that that. And they are not all 17-year high school kids working their first jobs. The middle class has been likewise screwed by big business and the private sector--it is why the middle class in America has SHRUNK. And yet Republican pretend there is no problem--let's give the rich a tax cut! The Trump administration is full of the vulture capitalists who've got filthy rich screwing ordinary Americans. I've digressed a bit--but economics factor into this volatility as well.

But the most pressing problem is that we have a divisive president--and please don't tell me Obama was divisive as well. I'm tired of hearing this "whataboutism" argument from conservatives. As somebody at NPR pointed out today, "whataboutism" started as Russian cold-war propaganda. It was how the Russians tried to justify all the problems in their country--but saying, "but what about TK and TK in America." And it's what I hear on this board constantly--but what about antifa and what about Obama and what about Clinton. The real problem is Trump--he's the president and supposed leader of this country. But in fact he's a deranged man.

Trump was not at the rally. The people at the rally are responsible for their own actions, no one else. You are a sad, misguided, ignorant person.
