Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

It just blows my mind that the leader of the free world would get into twitter wars with the media and then stoop to things like this.

Some of the core supporters with be behind him 100% and say it was deserved

Hey look, no one is talking about what a turd the healthcare replacement bill is.

Minions successfully distracted, mission accomplished.

This is true but he's still The F'n President of the United States. Quit acting like the VP of the Glee club

I always find this such a laughable position. They may not like the man for many reasons. But I am sure the rest of the worlds leaders take very seriously the person in charge of the largest economy and military on Earth. It would be extremely stupid not to.

For the same reason the world takes Kim jung il seriously; he's a megalomaniacal lunatic with nuclear codes.

Don't confuse respect with fear.

This. Even with a bum wrap healthcare bill the Democrats have nothing to campaign on especially if the economy is doing good and unemployment is low. There is only so much hate and intolerance you can spew out to the public before they turn their backs. Hell, thats one of the reasons Hillary lost.

I disagree. If he passes a bum wrap healthcare bill, I think his chances significantly diminish.

At some point the people he trusts has to look at him and say "Seriously??"

He's just an embarrassment. He's like your drunk uncle, he's funny at time but he has way too many moments where you separate yourself from him

I love how conservative southerners parrot right-wing BS about the EPA. Republicans are industry/big business toadies--always have been. They don't like spending money on environmental regulations. I'm not really sure why as these are huge companies, mostly. I guess they affect the stock price, which affects the CEO's/executives greedy executive compensation. In any case, we get the same BS from conservatives about the EPA all the time. It's nonsense. Even with the regs with half, companies are still dumping toxins like coal ash in rivers and lakes. The city water quality in many US cities is bad--and yet we have to listen to industry toadies like Pruitt--a disgrace--try to tell us that environmental regulations are terrible and hurting jobs, etc. It's all NONSENSE, much like the nonsense we hear about the minimum--as if big retailers are really going to suffer if they pay employees another $1 or $2 an hour. Most of what we hear from the GOP is stupid nonsense aimed to protect big business--like how we MUST give big tax breaks to the wealthy so that they will stimulate the economy and salary and wage raises will "trickle-down" to the masses. Uh, no.

How's that $15 minimum wage in Seattle working out? CEO/executive greedy compensation? That's called the free market at work. I guess you prefer socialism.

The evidence of Trump's bad character, dishonesty, stupidity and narcissism was plain to see long before the election. But you can't tell red state/rural folk anything--they're too dumb to separate fact from nonsense. Thus the Clinton became an evil harpy and this mobster/sociopath with a third-grade vocabulary and personality of a 14-year-old became a populist hero. Only in America. Not a day goes by when he doesn't do or say something stupid or foolish--one can't even keep up with his transgressions. Yesterday it was his fake Time magazine covers of himself (classic!), today denigrating a female TV person. He's the full package of bad.

these days....it's POOR. That's why most of the retailers in America--those that are still around--are discount houses peddling cheap. We've become a Dollar General/Wal Mart nation because half the people who work make no money.

Tell you what, LG. Since you've been so reasonable lately (and by reasonable, I mean not the most rabid out of control poster in recent weeks) I'll expand on the thoughts of "dignity" and how Presidents carry themselves going back in history. My perceptions and opinions, of course...

Trump - I perceive as someone who thrives on attention and throws the aforementioned temper tantrums which generate said attention. But far more intelligent than you give him credit for. Dignified? lol

Obama - I perceived as a narcissistic know it all. But also far more intelligent than the right gave him credit for. Dignified? No. Looked far to eager to take a step down from his rightful place as leader of the free world.

Bush 43 - Far more intelligent than you gave him credit for, but I think allowed others to run more freely in his Administration that he should have. Dignified? No, not really. But likable.

Clinton - A snake, but a snake you respected and could deal with. And a snake you could forgive. Dignified? No.

Bush 41 - Another snake, but one that really wasn't as likable as Clinton.

Reagan - Probably the last "noble" President we had. Reagan presented an air of confidence as well as bringing dignity in the office.

Carter - I would say he was dignified, but simply overwhelmed by the office. But throughout, he managed to maintain his composure.

Ford - Not around long enough to really say...

Nixon - A snake. And a snake you didn't trust.

Johnson - See Nixon.

Kennedy - Brought a different approach to the Oval Office especially being so young. Dignified? Yeah, I'd say so.

Eisenhower - Brought a dignified air to the office, but I believe mainly because of his military background. There's not many retired Generals/Admirals (I'm sure you'll name a couple) that don't have an air of dignity about them.
Andrew Jackson and U.S. Grant. How's that for a couple?

Well of course they're poor, all those fast food workers in Seattle are now taking home less than they were before the minimum wage increase. Who could have possibly seen that coming? The average low-wage employee, saw his or her monthly paycheck shrink by $125, or 6.6 percent.

The tweets were stupid and beneath him. The response was just as stupid.

Part of the problem is that the media has finally run up against someone with standards as low as theirs, so the relentless attacks eventually get answered in kind.

Which leads to the media no longer having any credibility. Unfortunately, turns into a boy who cried wolf situation.

Nothing to do with unnecessary, rabid consumption?
