Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

It's kind of interesting, but there seem to have been a plethora of anti-Trump VP like accounts that love to insult and are very condescending.

Does he have that many alter accounts or is Trump just making the left that crazy?

it's either

TAR, RE-TAR, or TUR Disorders

"Regrettably, none of these pundits have bothered to look into how Obama might compare with his predecessors. But this kind of comparative word-counting is right up the alley of James W. Pennebaker, a social psychologist at the University of Texas at Austin. Toward the end of his penetrating new book, “The Secret Life of Pronouns: What Our Words Say About Us,” Pennebaker crunches the numbers on presidential press conferences since Truman and finds that “Obama has distinguished himself as the lowest I-word user of any of the modern presidents.” If anything, Obama has shown a disdain for the first-person singular during his administration....."

When someone becomes president it puts them in a whole different spotlight, right? Why do people care how many times someone uses "I" in an inauguration speech that was 8+ years ago?

At least 5 of you think that's still a big deal!

The whole premise is false:
“If we think that someone is arrogant, our brains will be searching for evidence to confirm our beliefs.” If we’re predisposed to look for clues that Obama is all about “me me me,” then every “me” he utters takes on outsize importance in our impressionistic view of his speechifying.

But even more counterintuitively, Pennebaker argues that Obama isn’t somehow being humble or insecure in his low frequency of first-person pronouns; in fact, his language use reveals him to be quite self-*confident. Speakers displaying self-*assurance have a lower frequency of I-words, even though most people would assume the opposite. So the knock on Obama may indicate that listeners can properly discern his self-confidence (along with what Pennebaker calls his “emotional distance”) but then attribute this quality to precisely the wrong details of his speaking.

I don't know. I don't speak for Time or know why they're fussing.

My interest here is

1) It's amusing

2) It does beg the question why someone who has been on real covers would post fake ones?

More interesting is what Trump put on his office wall, like the Playboy Cover, next to a posing "Christian conservative."

Interesting?...... not really ..... I doubt anyone gives a ****.

"Mr. Mueller, thank you for your service, but a CNN producer (who no one heard of until yesterday) has notified us there's nothing to investigate.

Please take these boxes of Rice-A-Roni as a parting gift."

Pop quiz : How many CNN producers can you name off the top of your head?...

Right..

Your idolatry of the fake Russian narrative is scary. However I can understand your reluctance to let go when everything you have held so near and dear turns out to be false. Santa Claus must have really been a bum buster for ya.

I bet that framed boomerang comes from when Trump went on an Aboriginal Outback hunt and slaughtered a kangaroo. Time to get PETA involved!

Not in my mind. Of course in my mind he is out within the next 12 months. Also in my mind, people have an innate tendency to eventually gravitate toward what is right and good. But, I've been wrong before.

Wow so you really thought Obama was right and good? And then either Hilary or Bernie were as well? My God man. Your Trump hate has really sogged your mental capacity. I seriously worry about you if Trump serves a second term.

If the economy improves, the GOP doesn't go full retard by passing an inevitable failure of a healthcare bill, pass tax reform, Trump being reelected becomes a distinct possibility.

This. Even with a bum wrap healthcare bill the Democrats have nothing to campaign on especially if the economy is doing good and unemployment is low. There is only so much hate and intolerance you can spew out to the public before they turn their backs. Hell, thats one of the reasons Hillary lost.

The possibility of Trump being reelected is incomprehensible to me. That's like asking me how I will react when aliens invade or zombies rise from the ground. I guess any of the 3 are possible; Trump's reelection being the least so.

Obama was reelected ...... just be prepared

It's nothing new to anyone on here, but Trump is the personification of pretty much all that is wrong in this world (in my opinion - with which you're free to disagree)

Being a well off white male in his 50's, Trump will not hurt me directly immediately, but the trade off is not worth it.

Obama's policies screwed me almost immediately yet I don't carry the level of hatred you do of Trump

If you felt that Obama was as detrimental to the world as I feel Trump is, then you should have hated him. It's not about the direct personal impact.

BS..... let Trump pass some POS bill that takes $25k directly out of your pocket.... causes the company you work for to be sold.... and has you purchasing your health insurance on the exchange with no subsidy and then we'll talk

That impact i.e. the economy and healthcare is what cost you guys over 1200 seats nationally since 2008, I personally look forward to the ultimate demise of your party.

List the ten worst things going on in the world and explain to me how Trump is making them worse. Outside of climate change, of which we have different opinions, I can't think of one.

I know that you do but I think you will be disappointed, only time will tell.

And I thought it was arrogance, identity politics, and ignoring fly over country that cost us.

I'm not going to play that game. It boils down to character, priorities, philosophies, etc....

I will address climate change since you brought it up. In the last 6 months he has claimed it was a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese, refused to answer if he believed in climate change, made fools of his spokespeople as they tried to cover for his reluctance to commit to a stance, and finally admitted that man does have minimal effect on climate change. This is in the past 6 months from a 70 year old man who ran for and was elected president. And for me it goes far beyond just his belief in climate change and to the low priority he places on the environment in general.
