I know man, I sometimes think, if I ever get to the point of taking football so seriously, that I spend a good amount of my time doing nothing but bichin and crying about how bad Tennessee football, the coaches, the recruiting class and 1/2 the fans Suck, I'll give it up and go find something else to be miserable about.

A down year at Bama is going 14-1 and losing in the national title game. Hard to believe the gap between Tennessee and Bama is absolutely cavernous right now.

LOL. Behr get real. I spend .0001 percent of my life on this message board. I have 3k posts and you have 35k LOL. Also I don't take this stuff as seriously as you think. I just call it like I see it. It's not my fault that it's horrible. If I see a plane crash I'm gonna talk about the plane crash and not just pretend that everything is OK. Same applies here.

Yea, 99% of that 35,000+ is posting stupid crap and talking about food in the Endzone over 7+ years. But I get your point.

We won 75% and lost a heartbreaking 25%
We sputtered on the runway, never took off and everyone is disappointed.
We didn't nose dive into the Pacific.

Didnt know if it was angled at the idea that while Jones has recruited well, it doesn't look as good months and years before.

Notching career loss #2 against Vandy, and being the only UT coach in history to do it, and after being favored to win the East, is worth an F no matter how you spin it.

Again, I don't like the guy but Bielema has done more with less since going to Arkansas. It would be interesting to know what he would have done if he and Jones had reversed roles.

I'd take Malzahn over Jones in a half second.

Freeze had a bad year but he's had more success than Jones in a more difficult place to have success.


I'm not exactly sure what this guy based his grades on. Jones lost a game in each of his first 2 years that should have been wins. As talent has gotten better, his optimization of it has actually gotten worse. There were 3 losses in each of the last two years that easily could have if not should have been wins.

In his first 4 years, Jones has one upset win to his credit.

Jones' defenders do not want to deal with these things... but these and his overall record are the bottom line facts after you cut through all of the minutiae. Jones to date is more like a "D" than a B+. He needs a few years of earning "A's" to get his avg back up to B+.

Zook was 6-2, 6-2, 4-4 in the three years that he was at Florida. The comparison is valid, and percentage-wise, Zook is technically better at .67 than CBJ's .44 conference win percentage.

Do you post under different accounts? Your name doesn't look familiar. I don't tend to get personal until someone else does, not really my style.

Unfortunately some people consider having a different opinion, and/or being objective about Butch Jones instead of willfully ignoring his shortcomings as a personal insult to themselves.

What's the difference? Zook didn't win anything in 3 years, Butch hasn't won anything in 4.....Zook was 23-14 in 3 years, Jones 25-14 in his last 3 (didn't count his first year). Both coaches have underwhelmed with their on-field performances.

Considering it was the 2nd best record in the SEC overall, Yes! Saban has a A+ second best deserves atleast a B to B+. It may not be to what many think is the "Tennessee Standard" but is far better than we have seen under the 2 previous coaches and is moving in the right direction not down the drain like many on here seem to think!

It doesn't change that the only coaches with a better record than Butch in the last 2 years is Saban and McIlwain...So 3 rd best isn't worth a B+?
