Ask Florida how Strong did them at Louisville. Butch got outcoached by Dooley of all people when he was at Cincy.

Hindsight 20/20 Strong's success at Louisville is 75% due to yha fact that he had an NFL QB and was in a $#!+ conference.

You just like him because he's not light skinned 😜

Is there something that states Gilbert is in the driver seat over Blackburn?

Go back to the quote from Hubbs that someone posted earlier, which stated the possible candidates for the AD. Pay attention to Hubbs' words...he said it seems Blackburn is the front runner, but then started to throw that Hubbs speak out for Gilbert. Said something along the lines of he's worked really hard the last 18 months and has made a lot of good connections within the university system. Just seemed like that VQ speak that starts to set you up for what's about to happen.

JMO, he's earned a raise, not an extension. Contract runs through 2020. That's three seasons of security, and we've seen enough odd personnel and in game decision to fairly question whether he's the long term answer.

Agreed. He didn't earn an extension this season, but it is our best in a decade. Give him a raise and tell him he can get an extension next year if he performs up to snuff.

We return a ton of starters. We played the meat of our schedule without Sutton and JRM. The biggest loss is with Barnett. It's difficult to plan and cope with the amount of and the significance of our injuries this year. It's hard to point to any other team as an example because there likely aren't any. We return Kelly at RB and gain Ty Chandler (who appears to be the real deal).

I'm not claiming there are unknowns as there are unknowns with teams every year. Given who we return and why we've achieved this year, I don't think it's totally justified to lower expectations.

Agree to disagree then. I'm not sure if you are implying this, but if you are, it is hard for me to put credence in your analysis when you claim that Kelly/Chandler isn't a drop off from Kamara/Kelly. I think Chandler looks great too, but...come on. In all likelihood, RB will not be quite as productive with a true freshman stepping in for a guy with All America caliber skills.

Yes, I was just going to say that. It appears if we can beat Vandy, and Florida keeps losing, we are in.

They are all up on USC's butt and the Champions of life joke is old now.

We will be 15 at least with a win this week with Auburn losing and Florida/FSU losing ahead of us. Everybody should R-E-L-A-X
