No. They have a slate of 4-5 candidates but unless something changes, it's really a two-horse race. If it's true that he has reservations of some sort about Blackburn, he must have switched to the Jon Gilbert camp.

Only Tennessee would eff up an opportunity like this to right the ship and hire Blackburn. What the hell does Anderson like about Jon Gilbert?! My god. Can we not have anything be easy here at Tennessee? These boosters and others need to shut the hell up and let the BOT make the call. Is this just a big rumor or very much substantiated in facts? Just a few days ago was Brice not mentioning Blackburn specifically by name and how he could work with Butch?

Furthermore, with the university looking to make changes - it makes zero sense to hire Gilbert. That's more of the same and what the hell has he done to be qualified? God help us Tennessee fans- our luck We will say no thank you to Blackburn who loves Tennessee, and Florida will hire him. And he'll guide them to greatness for years to come while we keep wallowing in crap in Knoxville. Only Tennessee is this stupid.

The QB situation should speak for itself. There are no givens how a QB will do in live action, and that's not even taking into account which QB choice the staff will make. We don't even have a QB coach! (I know, Sheridan). I can see a Mark Levine over Jamal Lewis type situation there for the first part of the season.

We will be thin in a few key areas- DT, CB, And RB. Injuries may be harder to overcome next year.

We return a ton of starters. We played the meat of our schedule without Sutton and JRM. The biggest loss is with Barnett. It's difficult to plan and cope with the amount of and the significance of our injuries this year. It's hard to point to any other team as an example because there likely aren't any. We return Kelly at RB and gain Ty Chandler (who appears to be the real deal).

I'm not claiming there are unknowns as there are unknowns with teams every year. Given who we return and why we've achieved this year, I don't think it's totally justified to lower expectations.
